Prop up and try it again. I looked and peells runs a x430 on his 16" cat, so a step up might be in order. His KV is lower at 3200, but he is also runnign a 3s. OSE says his setup is good for 35mph.

Again, your setup says 26mph on OSE calculator. Plus if you have a higher slip, that is going to make it worse.

Yours: 27mm and 3s is about 35k rpm loaded and 39 mph indicated.

    Yours: 35mm and 2s is 34mph indicated.

gives you some things to think about.

jerry Switch to a 3s lipo and change your prop to an x430 that is what I was using (am) then you will get some serious speed like my boat

thats wright!!!! I dont have a 430 prop so i found this plastic one and tryed to cut it down what do you guys think,,next to it is my 427 prop,,the blade on it maesures 10mm perblade and 7mm for the middle so i cut the plastic one 12.23mm so i think its close to the 430 size??? Its worth a try i gess!!!

Yeaa give it a try but dont be suprised if it breaks (plastic just isn't that tough) but give it a try and before you launch take pics of the set up up close so I can see how you got your prop angle (we) now go have fun

Honestly, I think that plastic one is going to break first run.

I set up a mini rio with a 2040 3600kv inrunner on 2s and it's running a metal x432, coming in stone cold after every run. I don't see any reason why your bigger and torquier 28mm motor wouldn't spin a 32 or 35 mm prop easily on 2s, especially since there should be less drag with this cat than with a mono.

Well im no pro on CG for sure but i think its about 6 1/2 or 7'' from the transum but i plan on cutting out some of the foam from under the nose and move the batt further forward,, and i got the strut as neutral as i could and as level with the bottom of the hull as i could... see pics

As far as I can see you must have made an adjustment at some point after the first run you made because on this last vid you went back to the original prop it looks as if you are real close to trimmed if not trimmed you did a good job on set up and it looks like you are going to have a lot of fun. Keep it up HydroJ.
