I went to lowes and got a stick of 1''x1/2'' angled aluminum and cut it out to fit a mini Hitec servo but before glueing it down i drilled some big holes in the floor section of it so the epoxy could squish threw it then cut a small peice of FG cloth to lay across it!!!
I placed my esc in there where i want it but the motor wires are to short,,,the battery wires are ok so can i extend the motor wires to esc alittle or will it mess it up!!!!

I do not care!!! this isn't about you!! If you wait until warm weather in the spring, I am going to have to take my wife and five kids on a vacation down there just to slap you!!! RUN IT!!!!!!!!

OK, I feel better now I know what you mean. I was going to go out today and run as it looked like our last nice day of the year, but it ended up getting cloudy, cold mist and wind most of the day. ughh, I hate the cold also.

This build is looking fantastic man, good job. i really hope it runs well after all this work you put into it. If not.... Here is to hoping

no you wont mess it up but I would consider moving the esc closer the motor, If it was me the servo appears to have long enough leads on it to support such a move and the esc doesn't weigh that much anyway that boat will have a rather strong pull to the right so use your turning very gentl until you get used to it!! you may need to turn left to keep it in control, How long is your mini?

I gave up on hatch bolts because you really need to tape any way to keep the water out, I tried making a gutter all arount the hatch to channel water out to the back and everything the hatch being taped is the best. but dont pull the tape stright away from the hull pull it back along it's self as it reduces the surface tension of the tape and reduces the chances of pulling off paint (painter's trick when taping stripes) go out and have fun

I use automotive paint that you have to mix and then clear coat over it with ppg shop grade clear which uses no reucer so it doesen't lift the other paint, you will need to be carefull with that one of your's but it looks sharp I cut my finger on the picture of it on my computer. LOL

Sorry about you loyal followers of mine but duty called and I had to fix the Church's cordless microphone they dropped it and everyone yelled praise the Lord (They all thought it was the rapture), See these model building skills are great for other things as well (just keep it a secret or you will be kept away from your modeling) LOL
