I bought this hull very well used on the swap shop a while back and am deciding to re-build it.The outside needs to be sanded to bring back some of the original lines and paint of course.It also came with all hardware,except the rudder is way to big.I have it for sale on the swap shop.The rest will be used.Im open for suggestions on a rudder and mount for this hull.

As you can see,it needs some work.The back of the hull has had some holes filled,which is fine.But, it has 3 layers of junk.The 1st is the original hull,the 2nd is wood,and the 3rd is fiberglass matting with very thick resin.You can see here how it is layered up.I cut this out and will be making a new piece to start fresh with.Ive also took out the black velcro that lined the inside as well as the servo mount.

I removed the velcro and sanded the inside smooth and might use the existing motor mount as it is water cooled.The powertrain will be an Align 1650kv outrunner on 6s with a Turnigy 180 amp esc.If anyone has any recomendations on the rudder and mount as well as prop suggestions,it would be appreciated.

Kind of a high Kv motor to be using on 6s for a boat. You will definately cook the speed controller. I just dont want to see you do all this hard work and it burn up on your first run!!!

Your right about the motor.I bought 2 of the Aligns for a twin cat,but I changed my mind on that.Ill have to figure something else out for a motor.Dont want to burn anything up.Any suggestions?Id like to stay with a 6s motor.One more thing,is there wood originally in the back of these from the factory?

Yeah, that should be a factory installed transom doubler.

Sweet.Already have a new piece cut out.Any motor suggestions for 6s to be used with a 180 speedo?

Ryan is correct there is a transom doubler. If I would do it over again I would go with a Neu 1527/1y on 6s. Still not sure your controller can handle 6s to well. I ran my 33" with a Neu 1521/1y on 6s2p. It was an animal. Also ran it on 4s which was still awsome.

Im trying to use parts I already have.Momma says I cant buy anything untill I get caught up on CC bill.I do have a 1515 1Y that I can run on 4s.The Turnigy can run 2 to 6s,but I dont like to push the limits of things if they cant handle it.

That is a proven setup in this hull.It will work. 1515/1y 4s....make sure you have strong lipos.

New transome doubler installed.Tomorrow Ill finish the outside rear.Going to let the resin cure over night and all day tomorrow.Any tips on a rudder and mount that will work well with this hull?

That one may work too, but it may need to be cut down some.
