    KNPC's Insane FE Hydro

I got my Insane Hydro earlier in the week and have started building.

This is whats going in it
    Neu 1515/1y
    CC 240
    4s1p G3 35c
    Insane hardware
    Hitec 645 servo
    x640, x642 to start with

So far I've mounted the hardware, layed carbon fiber inside the hull, and mounted the servo. Next up is the motor mount and stuffing tube.

I'll get some pics up later

Thanks detox, I bought four stuffing tubes but only needed one. Sometimes they're a PITA and sometimes you get lucky one the first try.

Norm, I'll be using a CC240 LV. With 4s it should work well as long as I don't over prop. I know you've been running this combo, what props have worked the best for you?

M445 and M447 have been my favorites....Finally got to 59mph saturday...That's with a raw M445...can't wait to S&B and pull a few more tricks, been patiently waiting to hit the 60 mark! The reason I asked was because I'm stuck at 4S and recently bought a CC240HV to allow for more extreme setups if I dare go that far....

I got a bit more done, it's almost ready for the water. It balances at 2 1/4'' behind the sponsons with plenty of room for adjustment.

The only big thing left to do is figure out a good way to mechanically attach the hatch, I perfer not to rely on tape alone.

Here are a few more pics

Kevin, on my FE 30 I made a tab on the front of the hatch which slides under the deck. Simple!. Since I've been running it as a Spec boat, it's so stable that I'm not worried about losing the hatch. I did the same on my Cyberstorm 32 hatch front, but used "captured nuts" from the hardware store on the back with rubber washers made by slicing a grommet in two [couldn't find a small enough o-ring on the bench] & used nylon screw-downs from a VS-1 cowl [Tower has them - order extras, they're cheap.] Works great !

Whoops, just realized that the FE 30 rear deck doesn't have clearance for the "captured nuts" . Make a 3/4 " triangle out of 1/4" ply, drill out to press in the nut. drill your cowl lock screw hole[s] down through the deck & hull, epoxy the ply/nut combo under the deck [lined up carefully] & you got it. I do this for through-the-deck antennas frequently.

Thanks Tony. That's how I was thinking about doing it, the picture is always a big help.
