it is sharp, its just when converted to jpeg file is is not as prominent, but will sharpen it up when they come out of the cast moulding and polish it

[QUOTE=sailr;211229]It would seem to me that with some of the thin elements of the unit that casting may produce some very weak points?

You may have a winner on your hands if it works out and you can sell it for a reasonable price! Regardless of its future, it sure is pretty!

Cheers bud,hes coming round tonite to make a couple of changes,1 of them is to widen the steering ears for less load on the servo, also the thickness of the motor is a little too thin and add some fillets where it joins to the lower part of the leg.
Like said this is just the 1st preveiw of it,and wanted to see what people thought and point out anything that could be altered

New pics of final design with alterations done

Made some alterations,to what i felt need to be changed and this is the final design, should hopefully have the 1st 1 here the towards the week end.
this baby will take upto a 50mm diameter motor with hole spacing upto 25mm,so a large variety of motors can be used.

Please leave your comments positive or negative
      Thanks daz

I understand the reason for the angle, but will that cause a issue with the motor hitting the canopy on some of the boats ?. But it looks very cool .

It probably will on some hulls, but i could always supply a spacer if needed, or if competant builder could always modify the hull to suit.

Well the first 1 in ABS Plastic is being printed a we speak & will be here before the weekend hopefully.
This will be what we will use to make the moulds for cast alloy, but will give us more of an idea if we need to change anything, but honestly i dont think there will be (fingers crossed)
bit different in the flesh rather than on the screen

will probably mount it to the back of my 34"F1 hull iv built for some pics and test fit.
