Are you going to lay any glass on her, or just seal it up with finishing resin?

    Nice build BTW.

After top sheeting was epoxied over sponsons and cured, I drilled 6 holes (one in each sponson cavity) then injected finishing resin using syringe. I tried to make sure epoxy created a good filet around each top seam inside then set hull on sponson tips to let epoxy cure. Maybe this will make seams strong enough without adding fiberglass outside of hull.

Canopy locator pad is in place on bottom of hull. Canopy fit is verygood and snug.

Top sheeting area rear of sponsons is being reinforced with 1/16" plywood. I will blend in this area with drum sander after epoxy has cured. Finishing hull is next.

To seal the hull I applied one coat of Z Poxy finishing resin then squeegeed off excess epoxy. This will make sanding easier after epoxy cures. Then I will brush on thick coat of high build Urethane Primer/surfacer. Sand then spray paint using Summit racing's single-stage Urethane paint (Flame Red).

Thanks. The Flame Red paint that I purchased at my local Summit Racing store looked more like a Deep Red (too dark). So I exchanged it for Silver Mettalic. Temps around here are also too hot to spray using my Medium temp activator. I will have to spray early in the morning while temps are cooler and humidity is less.

Good choice and good luck with the build.

Speeds should be slightly over 50mph (51-53mph) using a couple of stock ABC props. Batteries are Hyperion 25c 5000mah lipos and UL-1 motor/hydra 120.

The Silver single stage urethane paint I planned on using will require too many coats to get good coverage. This will make boat too heavy. So I will paint it White insted. The White will cover lots better with just two light coats.

paint the boat white first then silver should help to lessen the amount of coats needed for the silver

When u come right down to it white always is a great choice. I know that this cowl conversion was not in your original plan so I am wondering if it had been, would you have modified that front cross member so that u wouldnt have had to deal with the battery box hanging down?

I had lots of time to think about it, but I think I did it the easiest and best way possible. Plus I did not want to do away with original size battery box. Maybe you will figure out a better way or a way that you like..

Yea...White matches the nose cone and hatch verywell.
