You can probably spin a bigger prop.

Thanks todd! yea i will get some video as soon as it hit the water! X im thinking the same thing on a bigger prop. Any guesses speed wise? A friend has exact setup and he says on 5s he pushing mid 40s. and on 6s hes getting mid to high 50s.

That 2p is the key alot more speed controls would be spared if we all practiced 2p or better at least on 6s and up.What kinda paint job u gonna hit it with? Man that thinks nice.Is that motor gonna be enough. Now in that particular hull i bet one of those castles/neu's or kb45 8xl might be better. Dont get me wrong I love my 540 6xl just not familiar with the 12 xl.I would think that hull could handle 60 plus mph??????

The x642 is a bit small in diameter for that size hull, efficiency will be poor. The theoretical top speed would be around 60 but I fear that the hull is too heavy and large - prop slip will be large. I'd go with an x447 and watch for heat. And I'd toss-launch the hydro with the motor spinning to get it on top of the water fast.

That is a lot of battery in the hull - are those four 3S packs? Your setup may put the CG pretty far back where it could be tough to get the transon out of the water. I'd stack at least one pack on top of the front two if possible. I have this hull and it is a challenge to get the CG anywhere near where it should be....

                    Is that a Castle 240 or 240HV. I def don't recommend the regular 240 on 6s.

follow yur gut start with the small prop first that way esc safety will be on your side.As far as helping you with the scheme maybe you better let one of the more neutral guys help you. Cuz to me I wouldnt care if I never had to see anotha rebel flag in my life period.I still love your boat tho.

ran the boat for the first time today. it ran awesome, it was on rails i got 48 mph out of her with no adjustments. Temps after about 4 min motor 170, esc 108, lipos 120. motor was running a little hot but it was after a 4 min run. I am thinking with some tuning and bigger better prop i should be in the 50s without a problem! not bad for a little 540 in a 37 inch hull!
