no heat gun, warm but by no means hot, I got on and off plane a fair few times and ran a couple of props that were destined not to work.Comment

got Prop???
Hurrah, got a decent sized wheel for the Sprintcat today, Biggest prop ive ever put on an electric boat
Behold - Prather 240... Its meant to be about 53mm, but as you can see its a tad under 55mm

Now for the non fun part, sharpening and balancing.Comment

Yeah for sure, and my dremel just poo'ed its pants, think the bearings are gone as the rpm's slow down and she gets hot. Bonus is stainless is nice n hard once sharpened. I forgot how nice the casting was on prather props compared to octura though.Comment

camera is charged! just gotta get a window in the terrible weather to get a run now!!Comment

I know how it is with the weather !
Out of interest as far as the OR motor is concerned do you have any major torque roll issues on take off ?
I know that the sprint cat is wider in aspect ratio to my hull but my little cats that have OR motors are a bastwad to take off with due to torque roll.
In all fairness the 9Xl (before it died) would nearly roll the bigger cat on takeoff.
I am just curious how yours goes.See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with woodComment

Going to test tomorrow at wattle, Got this boat, the N2 Shovel and my Gas cat to take to the pond and do some testing, have just made some mods to the N2 and Gas boat along with this boat has got a new bigger prop and strut height and angle. should be a fun test day
I have not noticed any torque roll on take off, though the boat is fairly wide like you say and also pretty long.Comment

weather was very windy, and no so good, but i got a wee run before I Blew a lipo! I think these cells must have been on the way out for a little bit.. I wondered why one cell took longer to charge last night, i just thought there was a dodgy connection on the balance plug
First lap it was going ok, think ive ruined the cells by accidentally storing them charged for a fair whileComment

Thanks Ray
Cheers, yeah pretty sure Ive read somewhere that storing them charged for a long period of time is not so good
Cheers, Yeah the rest of the lake was real bad, the gas boats took a few dunks also.
Its still not really performing how id like it to, hopefully some new lipos will change that, last time I ran the exploded packs was in my whip on 6s a while ago and it seemed a tad lazy then..
My Birthday next week and the Wife is letting me buy Lipos, I need some for my P setups and for this cat..
Going to try go for 6s2p around 10000mah..Comment
