I know how you feel tryng to get a nice wide cowl and then get a good tape down lip too.
It looks good and that OR sounds very nice too.

When it is ready bring it up to the Quarry and I'll hold the camera for ya !

The "idea" I have for my big cat may now include OR's based on the sound of yours

well i got to run the cat today. I must say Jay was spot on with the props, Its going to need some big props to load this sucker up. the 447 it was silly, about 30mph, I had angled the strut down in anticipation of rough weather but its wasn't too bad, so it came back to neutral after the first run, the x 450 about 35, and x452/3 it came alive a bit and was doing about 42-44mph I tried a 1640 but with all that lift it just buried the nose after that we ran out of suitable props as Jason forgot his other prop box, So I thought id call it a successful test with no water in the boat and no breakages. In general its running a bit wet, but I can bring the strut up and move the COG back a wee bit to loosen it up.

I think im going to need a prather 240 - 245 to really get the motor loaded, May look at an x455 too. I love buying props, sharpening and balancing not so much

No video as I left the camera sitting next to the charger

Will get a video next weekend for you guys, Got to get some props this week as it was pretty unimpressive with the small props.

Thanks Rumdog, lots more sanding to do on it yet to get a smooth finish, might make a mould from it actually.. The blue windscreen was tape with black marker pen for the black bits

few more pics, running very wet as you can see :

Thanks to Blueprint for the pics!

                                Cheers dude,

Unfortunately no, They aren't available locally in New Zealand, its takes ages/costs a fair bit to ship stuff from the USA so by the time I got them shipped I could have just bought a couple of copper/stainless ones.

Found a prather 240, but I don't think its quite big enough and 245 looks to be a tad too big..

                                Off home now! laters!
