70 on the motor? wow thats nice, mine is usually about 80 before i put it in the water... looking good, do some prop testing and get some speed out of that thing. it doesnt look to be running to wet to me, once you get some speed and air under it you will be all good. as far as the left hand turns, dont worry about it. RC boat racing is the only oval racing in the world that turns right, nascar, speedway,TT, outlaws, midgets, hydro's, planes, geezs even the earth goes to the left.......
keep at it, your getting it!

There is a very good reason why R/C boats turn to the right - they turn better that way. This is because of prop walk, which naturally tries to turn the boat to the right. Fighting that natural tendency results in less efficient turning and more speed loss in the turns - which translates to shorter run times and higher temperatures. We mount turn fins on both sides of the transom to improve left turning, but experienced R/C boaters know that "right is right".

Full scale boats turn left because their props spin clockwise. If their props spun the same direction ours did - they'd use right tuns too.

This is shat I do to get a seal on the inboard end of the stuffing tube. The photo shows wire, but the same thing works with cable.

Ya, 68 to 70 deg. Nuts huh? Especially since the last two motors ran about 280 deg then Poof!
Neu/Castle makes a good motor! But ya, more right turns next run for sure. I was gonna make a 2nd run then realized I forgot to put velcro on the new packs. Ooops.

Good to know! Thanks! I did try your idea with the fuel/water line, and NO WATER inside after a full run. NICE! Last run without the tube I had about 1/4 cup of water in there. I only have about 1/8" gap between the new coupler and stuff tube, but a little piece of tube made a HUGE difference. Thanks again. Oh, and for that P230 prop, any certain retailer you recommend? OSE doesn't seem to have them.

He calls it the S230 as his are stainless. They are Prather props, stamped 230.

Sad sad day. Due to financial problems I'm gonna have to sell my boat. Along with 4 basically new Thunder Power -Pro Power 5000mAH 3s 30c packs and a Spektrum DX3E. I'm thinking this should be worth about $800 at least right? Just the motor, ESC, and batteries are worth that. I've only had this boat out around 6 times since the Neu went in. Any thoughts? Could I get $900?

You can always try to sell it as a complete package, but $900 is hard for most to swallow.

You will find it easier to sell if you separate the batteries and pontentially the speedo and motor from the hull and sell individually.

                    just my 2 cents.

So very sorry to see this, for as an owner of a Titan40 myself, I followed this thread closely. You were a noob, and you made some mistakes, but you kept at it, pouring your heart and soul into this build.
Tyler is right, the odds of selling this as a package are slim, and none.
Best of luck, I wish you well, TODD
