Yep, I just actually worked on it for 5 hours yesterday. I just need some longer wires from ESC to radio, and it's up and running. Now I just have to dial it in and think of how I want to finish off the paint job. I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow after I get everything plugged in. Also gotta figure out the Etti 150 opto ESC setup. It was working, but no reverse.

I wanted the paint to have more depth, so I'll eventually clear over the graphics.

Anyone wana buy an ETTI 150 Opto ESC w/ cap banks soldered on and plasticoted. Also has 6mm gold bullets all soldered on as well. Maybe this ESC is easier to program than it seems, but I'm just not getting it. I just ordered a swordfish 240. That should do the trick!

Just got the Swordfish 240 ESC today. HOLY CRAP is this thing BEEFY! It looks like 6s will barely bring it off room temp. Gonna need 8mm bullets like they reccomend though. I thought I could get away with 6mm bullets...ah.... no. Not with 8 gauge wire.... This thing looks sweet though!

Finally got it out. Runs awesome. Almost jumps out of the water and gets on plane really quick. Temps on the ESC are running around 95 it (barely working the swordfish 240 on 6s) but the motor temps with med-moderate throttle use are around 140. Running a 45mm graupner 2 blade. I should probably go a bit smaller on the prop eh?
I'll try to get vid and more pics soon.
I'm very happy with it so far. Might have to also lower left inside trim tab as it leans a bit left.

So I ran the boat again yesterday for about 6 mins at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and the motor temp was 188 deg. I have a 45mm graupner prop on it now. Maybe a 42 or 40mm? Getting on plane is NO issue at all so smaller shouldn't hurt much. Are there cooling jackets that work much better than others? Other ideas for lower temps. ESC is fine....
This boat really turned out good otherwise.

The cowl locks were a pain because they lined up half into the transom wood.
I'll try to run it today or tomorrow with the ESC PWM set back down to 8khz and see how motor temps are.

I tried to google that strut and i cant find it. i need another one for a plan. but i cant seem to find teh same one. the one on ose store is not the same. hmm.

sry to be off topic, so, on that note, the boat is looking killer. any other graphics going on it?

Hmmm, ya IDK. I got the stinger from OSE. As for graphics, I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do. Know of any good places to get cool boat decals?

weird, the one they have pictured doesnt look like the one you have or i have, but ours are identical. wonder if its like a stock photo. ill order one to find out.

as for decals mhz sells decals, may not fit exact but with some modification im sure you can find something.
