This is the hull and hardware I got from daggers. I pLan on running it direct drive. I want to keep it a sport boat as I no longer race. I want a set up that will run good on 4s, but be able to run on 6s for some real fun. I plan on running a hi-model 200amp esc that I already have. I am looking for some motor recommendations as long as what props to start with. The pics don't do this boat justice at all!!

Okay........since I've gotten no responces.....I will be using a proboat motor I have. I will start there to see how she does on 4s and 6s. If I'm not happy, I will make some changes from there.

10 XL would be good on 6S not 4. An 8XL may be ok. Maybe a 9XL? The 9 should run you just in the 40s on 4S. And mid 50s-ish on 6S.

It is a very nice boat. Ive had it in hand myself. And prettyed it up a bit more to try to convince Dag to keep it.... it didnt work

This is just a sport boat. Speeds don't need to set the water on fire.

Thats what I keep telling myself yet my boats keep getting faster and faster.

I think maybe a 9XL.... 4S will be a nice mellow run at around the 40 mark.. .and 6S would be nuts.

My PB motor built a lot of heat running a 32" cat I have. I ran it twice on 5S before the PB Esc let go.. those runs were about 52 if memory serves. But as I said, I feel it was a little too much boat for that motor.


EDIT I take that back.. it was 48mph on 5S... I think I got 52 on 5S w/ an 8XL???

No, not necessary... I thought maybe you were the person he (Christian) was talking about that owns the real Drambui boat... Daggers thought it was a possibility, then I got to thinking about it. Then w/ your signatures being marine related.. It all added up.. but came out to nothing.

Any thoughts on where I should start prop wise?
On 4s, 5s, and 6s? I have the options of running the boat on all 3.
Again, the set up is a proboat motor with a Hi-model 200 amp ESC.
I am looking for a good all around prop that will keep things cool. Remember, this is a sport boat.
