I run them on the bottom of the sponsons all the way to the rear. My ESC is mounted on its side on the left side of the mptpr mount. I've been running on 2 2S 4900 mha Rhino packs, 5000 mha Flightmax, and this weekend ran it on 2 2S 5800 30c Flightmaxs to give you an idea of the weight of my batteries. If my son can remember where he left my camera I'll get some pictures up tommorow. Hull seems to ride perfect with them there. But it did blow over running wide open into a pretty (very) strong head winds a couple times (as most boats will). It handles a little chop and light to moderate winds no problem.

Well....... no vids. I made a few passes to make sure everything was working ok. Checked temps. Everything was cold. Put the Prather 225 on and went back out. The first time I nailed the throttle it just whined and stopped. I sent out the rescue boat to fine my prop, drive dog, and flex shaft are now at the bottom of the pond. Time to place an order.

What size shaft were you running? Was it a coupler or snapped shaft issue? Mine came with a .130 which snapped so I went to a .150 which also snapped. Found it had a unsupported gap between the stuffing tube and strut. Replaced the stuffing tube all the way into the strut and went to .187 cable and no more problems. Of course with the inline rudder I did not lose my prop and drive shaft. GPS read 44.4mph last weekend but I know I lost a couple mph with the weight of the GPS up towards the bow causing the boat to run wet. 10xl, X648, 4s setup.

It was a coupler issue. It came with a .130 shaft. I will be upgrading that!
