No sorry no new pics yet, Ill have some time this weekend and plan to set up my watt meters, and ill put a GPS in. Ill be sure to get some good pics and some better video.

Shoulda seen this thing when I took it out on the 1-2' high waves, she was like a dolphin out there. Id hit a big wave get some serious air and the nose would come down a bit under water and would just dive straight down until I let the throttle off. I actually saw the nose hit the bottom atleast 5 feet deep. It was crazy, wish I woulda got some video of it. Almost had a heart attack though Im sure there will be some chop this weekend though so ill try to get some.

Im looking for ideas on how to get the nose up, I cant really shift the weight back anymore unless I add some extra weight, and that just leaves struts adjustments. Let me know of any other suggestions.

Looks nice,,,,but you need to forget everything you learned at the "G Freak" school of videos....lets see a sustained high speed pass and not the constant turning. Nice build thread

Never really heard of G Freak, but its pretty close to top speed in the video, I know I need to get some better video up and will def get some speed passes, but id guess its only in the 40's. Just figured id let everyone see how the dual setup turned since we were all unsure how it would work.

Try some positive angle on the struts. Should help get the nose up a bit. I will say, it does run much better than I would have thought!

Thanks guys, ill adjust the struts forsure, ill try a few runs without the trim tabs aswell. Im hoping that adding the second pack in parallel will give me a little more speed, im sure ill get some more acceleration atleast

You should make that decision based on your power requirements. If you dont give the esc what it needs to do what you want it too it will burn up. Like a car audio amp clipping and going into thermal protect mode cause the alternator in the car cannot supply what the car amp needs. Same priciple.2P setups provide more reserve power.If the size of the boat and application allow it multiple p setups will always be better.The higer the c and the mah the better.Randy talks about this in depth on his bby its going electric thread.

What did you use for your stuffing tubes?

Those were just teflon liners in the picture, I have aluminum tubes over them. Burnt out my 12kg servo swinging that huge rudder but its been driving like a champ even on huge chop on lake Erie, I need to get some more video of it for you guys. Working on getting a huge 25kg servo in place now. I also moved the ESCs to the back of the boat as it was driving way to nose heavy, works way better now with the battery moved up. Its really crowded in the back of this thing now but it runs way better.

Also when running 5s2p my max wattage increased from from about 1000-1200 avg per motor to over 2000 per motor, I guess the extra juice and the extra weight really did matter. I have ran it 1p atleast 25 times with no problems other then the motors getting pretty warm except when I ran it two times right in a row and the servo burned out.

Actually I take that back, about a week or two after posting that video I took it out in some chop and it nose dived at full speed which smashed in the nose really bad but I fixed pretty well and its been running good ever since. I think I have a few pics of the damage and the repairs if I could only find my camera.

This is a pretty cool build! I am working on a dual motor set up to one outdrive in a 47 inch mono. I love the way it handles!

I will soon! It has one motor now but the way i have it set up i just have to make another mounting plate for the dual motors, i want to test it out with one before i spend the money on two bigger motors.

Fianl Setup- Pics and Vids

Hey guys heres some pics of my final setup. As you can see its really really crowded in the back and not as clean as it used to be but it runs better.

I moved the ESC to the back of the boat, moved the battery back, added a huge and I mean huge 25kg servo prob 4 times bigger then a standard servo, hooked up my wireless temp and got the trim tabs and struts set pretty good. I have ran this thing hard a good 50 times now and its starting to get pretty beat up, I also smashed the nose completly in twice from hitting the bottom of the lake while running on big chop.

Heres some links to videos of it. All of the videos are taken on one run out but are seperated to save some time of watching the recovery after every flip. Theres actually 3 more that I have from this charge and will put them up later cause im heading to the resevoir to get the speed pass finally.
