No, I am just running a single 8XL.

Just amazed at what new 30C lipos can do. It jumps out of the water and then runs nice and flat but dry. I have the lipos all the way back in the hull so it worked out well. A little strut tweaking will cool it down a bit as it is running only about 1/8" up from the sponson bottoms. Good water flow and turning so far.

I know the ESC is on the edge with a 125 amp but bringing the strut up and de-tonging the prop will help. I will see how a M440 does on it.

As far as handling down the straights she runs great with no rudder detent.

Very nice Jeff. Cant wait to see some shots of it. Hows it do in the turns? Just curious as my other cat is awseome in the turns, I havent seen many vids of the HOTR pullin one at high speeds

Not sure yet but maybe more on Sunday....seems left was very smooth.

Fun boat and seems to handle the speed and power.

A twin is going to be fun! Not sure how much more speed it will get with extra weight, though.

Props are sharpened and balanced... ESC's are programmed... Shes ready to get wet Sounds mean just dry testing on the bench

Hay Jeff, are you going to start making single inline strut rudder set ups to put on your sight yet, i like the one at ose but can get the same one from ebay for like 20 or 30 dollars cheaper and the ebay one has where the flex goes in the strut its coaned in stead of blunt like ose's.. As for Tiqueman's i cant wait to see it fly on some vid, dont forget us dude,,,

Well I make my own brackets but not sure they are really sellable.

Here are few pics of mine...easy set up and no extra CF or any of that. This one had gelcoat damage on the rear that I will be fixing next week and then shoot some paint.

If the wind stops today I will tri to get the tripod to stand up and get some video

Well Gents... I got a run in.. not a great run, but a run. I didnt want to put anything in it (gps or Eagle tree) on its first run not knowing what it was going to do. She ran BEAUTIFULLY in the straights.. cog set at about 8-1/8" from the back of the sponson. I dont like guessing speeds, its quite a bit faster than my other 32" cat that ran an 8Xl once on 5S at mid 50. I would guess its in the 60s, but I only got two short straight runs before she went into a nasy 180 and slid backwards for 20 feet, then subbed herself butt first and put the bow sky high, then fell back down. SO speed judgemtne was difficult in that short time, plus I was blown away by the "WOW" factor and sound. I tried to bring her in and she pulled violently one way. Once ashore, no port prop, (reverse rotation prop) So I cant just run to the LHS and get one. Also as everyone including me thought, that 180 bent my rudder. So back to the drawing board. I was introduced to a really nice one by HOPF

that someone has on their Martrimo. It sits an inch deeper than mine and will be much more stury. It needs a tad larger as it likes to "fishtail" out of the turn. Another option may be to get the one Steven sells that a lot of folks put on their BJ26 or HOTR (full hrdwr kit) and just use the mount bracket and rudder, but again, then I do nat have my pull-pull.

Guess my next update wont be till mid to end of next week... Boo!

Ah... I keep telling myself its all part of the game. Wait time is whats killin me!

No, no vids, no pics. A friend was going to come down and run w/ me, but nasty weather and whatnot wasnt worth the hour+ drive. And I was not going to run this one handed for the first time out to try and shoot my own vid. Hopefully end of next week or weekend I will have some vids and shots of it.

Its hillarious sitting still, the transom is under water and water is about an inch or so up the deck of the boat.... HAHA.. thats got some power in it! I am also suprised how well it launches. Im using the Turnigy ESCs... take off is sooo much better than my Etti 150 Opto. Much much smoother throttle response.

One thing I really dont understand in FE is the motor timing settings... Is that looked at similar to real engine timing? Is it the same concept? On the Turnigy ESC, I can set it at 0, 3.75, 7.5, 11.25, 15, 18.75, 22.5 and 26.25. I have it at 3.75 as I think I read somewhere the Feigao is around 2 degrees for timing? I dunno, I might have shoulda done some research on that.

Can someone explain to me what the different timing setting will do? ie, difference between setting it at say 0 degrees and 15 degrees, (just for comparison)
