They are both contra rotating Ozzie.
If they were too high lift, wouldn't that help lift it out of the water?
Also, when I ran it as a single, I was using a PropShop 4216/3... Went like hell.....

I have to agree w/ Oz.. my first thoughts are prop issues. I would have thought it woulda got on plane though.

Do you have different props you can try? Even if they are same rotation? Like some 435's or similar? I think thats where I would go first.

Im not a pro on lift props.. I did run one once on my single drive 32 and it ran horribly. Lost a lot of speed and it hopped all over the place. Im not sure if the hull is only moving enough to plow how much affect the "lift" is... Im just not experienced enough w/ them. So to answer your question, dunno if it would help to lift it out or not. Could be trying to lift too much? Not a clue Dave.

this is going to sound stupid but you didnt have them spinning the same way by mistake,as in one prop pushing one pulling, not sure what would happen it may have just tried to go in circles, but if it had the bow pointing up and the transom sucking down

LOL I thought about that.. but I figured nahhhh he woulda checked that. And I would think it woulda thrown it into tight circles, like docking a real boat w/ twin screws.. it will rotate on a dime.

The motors are 380L's 2818kv.... I think they are from the same stable as the ones fitted to the Venom Ekos.....?????

Please dont take this the wrong way Dave, but if the Venom runs high 30s low 40s, why would it run 60mph in the HOTR. Thats what I was getting at about websites making claims. IF... If it is in fact about the same KV as the venom boat. Just dont want you to have unrealistic expectations.

Still doesnt explain why yours wont get out of the hole though.????? Still, get us pics.. and I think try diff props out.

Yeah, you are right... If you look at the TFL site, They have some pic's on there and the thing is jumping out of the water, also having a look on youtube sows the EKOS going quite well...
I think if I can't get this "out of the hole" I might just go the twin 540 route!??? Getting a little low with it now....

Is the "jumping out of the water" on a single or twin drive? Ive seen that pic all over the web for the single drive version. And I single drive will do that. I can very, VERY easily launch and backflip my 32" cat off the line. A fresh batt is a bear to take off with...

Can you easily get your hands on diff props?

And yes, the EKOS is going quite well on youtube, but not 60mph...

Its gotta be something easy if its a similar set up to the EKOS. The EKOS seems to get out ok. And run ok.. I do not think at all its a motor problem.

Whats it sound like?? Is it cavitating a bunch and winding way out?

Each motor must take approx. 33000 RPM, is this ok? May be a 380 sized is too short, not enough torque...

This HOTR run 540XL/ 8xl on 2x2s packs = 30000 RPM. I think that cat can run like this one

380's are whats in the EKOS, and what HOTR sells for thier twin isnt it? It should push the. Again, I would bet a lot on its your props.
