very interesting news...I would have thought that the lower COG of the batt packs would have helped immensely

I didn't think of cutting the lip slightly! I'll check that out. Otherwise I was going to have to order some more 4350 batts! My original plan was to put the batts behind the motor but no way to achieve the COG that way.

hmmmm....my turnigy 6s 5000 30c packs fit fine in the sponsons with a little push

but from what fluid states there is no advantage to put them in there so why bother

Interesting. You also have a lot of 'stuff' up front. Maybe that helps. I trial fitted my 5000 batts behind the motor and NO WAY could I balance it right. There must be a ton of difference in the weight of the turnigy 5000 40C's and the 4500's you're running. What are they?

How long til I finish? With me, you never know. Haha. I am slow as molasses and usually have several boats and airplanes in various stages of completion. It's whatever I decide to work on today. There is a race in East Florida coming up the end of March so need to have it ready by then!

But i dont feel comfortable doing that with my very limited knowledge of boats . Im thinking about sending it to randy for him to convert instead .

Great! I'll just have to figure out my battery location and still achieve the COG. Where is your COG?

I put them where it is easiest, handling is not the issue.

I will be running the boat in Q Offshore (6S). What ESC are you using? I have been told the big Feigoa is pretty stingy on the AMPS so I'm going to try a Seaking 180. What prop(s) have you had the best results with?

I love the backwards classic hatch....it will look even better if you paint it right

just a note: man you know a guy is doing well when he has a piece of carbon fiber the size of a large table cloth

My packs are 40C's. Must be a tad bigger.

I ran the 8l on 5s2p with the seaking 180. It was cool as a cucumber. Has anyone ran 6s on these yet?

Mine seems to run best around 11.25" ahead of the transom depending on the water/wind conditions. Move it fore and aft 1/2" to see what works best for you.

Good info. A friend of mine has his balanced at 13.5" and his is a speed demon. Seems like yours would have a tendency to fly?
