its the stores! and i have no clue, but it was free so had to jump on it.. and the extion is going to be my guess around 2 1/4" long from the transom and the holes drilled at 2" but still need to find the center of the holes on the rudder deal. that should put me right at the prop hub.Comment

its been on my mind almost every day and i really want to see it run! i think it will be a great boat in the chop but well see when the time comes.. the only thing left is to epoxy my suport in for the shaft (front pice of wood) and install the rudder and still need to make some kinda mount for the servo and make some links for that and fab up some kinda plate for the esc, bats, and reciver but all simple just need to find time to do it all, work is killing me and my car is starting to get on my bad side... if it not one thing its another!! and i still need to come up with the cash for the bats and charger. but think i may do a bs run on them nicads i still have one good 6cell left, but dont know if it will take out the esc dont care that much about the bats.Comment

Make something similar to my servo mount i posted a pic of earlier. So you need batts and a charger huh? Dont know if you have seen this charger yet, its what i use.............great charger and only $24..............you will need the power supply with it htough,
Here are batts i would recommend, they fit right between being large enough amperage wise and still being affordable, 72 amps continuous..........should be fine, you need two of course. If you can afford more, or feel you need more amperage then look at the 5000's....but they seem to be eternally out of stock.
EDIT: Just found these! 25c and 4000 mah for $19 each! Hardcase, but who cares, more protection and 100 amps continuous. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...25C_Car_LipolyNEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? (This looks to be a decent battery with adequate specs and an awesome price...
The zippy flightmax series are aldo good cells, I have a few:
Higher discharge rates will give you more punch, cooler temps, and more room to prop up:
But your best bet would be to run two packs in the boat at once in parallel. 4s2p with a 9xl and an appropriate prop should give you runtimes in the 6-7 minute range with upper 30s to low 40s in the speed dept. At least that's what FECalc says...)
this is what i was going to use 2-4cell with big mAh hopping for a good run time.Comment

Keep in mind that you are adding an additional 8 ounces of weight over two 7 cell nimhs that would be in there stock. I've mentioned that you will need more weight, but if the batts are mounted up front that may give you problems with cog.................just trying to help.......Good luck................keep it going!!NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS??
