    Everything is from the BlackJack26
The motor (unsure of KV), ESC, flex shaft, outdrive are all from the BlackJack. I do not think I will get close to the speed your getting. The Nitro Vee Hull that I used was in bad shape. I do not have a GPS, but when I get it on the water I will get someone to video it.

That looks like a good conversion! I don't know how the outdrive will hold up, most people get extreme vibrations at speed.

no i did not!! and for the out dive i think it will do him well but my guess is they might make a lot of noise like the stock drives on the villain's

Took my Villain out over the weekend, got a vid (all in continuity, and on youtube) and did 37.6. I havent seen one faster yet.................something to shoot for in friendly competitiveness

          Nice work 20psinow as well!

Yep, x640..............temps on ESC around 90*, motor 105-112*. Gonna try a 642............i may just nudge 40 with it! I'll have to set it up perfecrly to get there. Already removed my transom water pickups, using one in the rudder to feed ESC and motor.............shaved off alot of drag there. You think an x642 is good for another 2.4 mph..............???

you know the sad part is i know nothen about props... im just gonna start small 38mm glass prop and move from there.. i have a 40x52 but need to have some one s/b/p it, i would but i just know i mess it all up and be out 30 bones.. and with out the extra drag you might get there with the x640 but who knows.. id say try it and chech the temps and see what ya get.

Yeah thats "lou" i had mentioned..............the only vid i have ever found of his is this one, and it "says" 35mph on the vid..........and he also states on his site: "I am honest with the speeds posted. They are verified by GPS." havent ever seen a GPS on his, I guess i could be "honest" too and just tell you i hit 45..........

I'm just aiming at the highest recorded Villain speed.............Plus, its an absolute hoot to run.................6 minute runs out of it.

The main problem with the villain is that the ABS Hull flexes a lot at higher speeds and the rear bottom edge of the transom is rounded, so the water doesn't release cleanly from the bottom of the hull.

But if you can get the CG Adjusted right...

I think an XL can is by far the biggest ever put in a villain... Those speeds are great on the BJ Motor!!!! Are you using 4s or 6s?

Jon, if you are referring to me.....................I'm running a Feigao 540XL 1445kv on 6s with a turnigy 120a speedo. I have been reading this thread over the weeks and have been enjoying it alot. I have always had a soft spot for the villain, Now that 20psinow is very close to his maiden, i'll share a little of what i have learned getting mine to run properly. It has been very frustrating at times fine tuning this and that, i have just a bit of starboard trim tab in play, it will torque roll without it. Here is the kicker................i added 11 ounces of lead weight to the back of the boat.............this seems to be the perfect balance with the batts laid longways up front. They can be moved fore and aft for fine tweaking. The reason for this is due to the loss of one 550 motor, an ESC that weighs about half of the EVX, and lipos that are about 4 ounces less each than the nimhs. Without the weight it sits too "high" and is not very stable. I've tried 6 ounces..........15 ounces........etc...................11 is the best for some reason. Hope this helps when you run it for the first time.............
