    J.m.

    Thanks for the picture.

Mate i have 2 in hull pickups in 1 of me SV27.

Down the pond ,1 of the water tubes let go , and with in 2 laps of about 100m

the boat was full of water. I now glue the water tubes to the nipples.

    Safer that way!!

No need for the external water pickups as the in hull pickups work very well.

Also i like to keep the transom of my boats very clean.

          Esc , capacitor wiring

          OK ,

          Got busy today,

First off, I soldered the caps to some 10awg wire .

I've changed the size of the caps(2200uf) after talking to Castle.

Better to use this size for my application.

Then i soldered the rest of the wires to some new lengths of 12awg.

Then i added the caps to the wires .

I will run one set of +- down each side of the ESC for my lipo connection.

          Added the motor connectors also.

Just waiting on the strut , Then i will glass in the motor mount and add the drive line

          to this beast.

              Thats great news Jeff,

It's the last piece of the puzzle.

And i am sort of at a stand still with out it.

I couldn't resist your bearing strut for this project.

I FINALLY finished the ESC connectors .

Took me a hole day to sort it out.

                    Thanks Jerry,

                    Jeff,

                    I use 2 soldering irons.

They are made be WELLER, 1 is a 40w iron and the other is a 80w iron.

I use the 80w iron on the big stuff and the 40w on the small jobs.

                          Jerry,

The Weller iron i'm using is a 80W 240V, i think they get up to 900F.

That is enough heat to solder most joins.

No trick to getting a good join.
I apply a little flux to clean the area , get the wire real hot and apply the solder close to the tip, that way i know it's flowing throw the wire.
Wet sponge to cool the job.
Then i file the excess solder off for the prefect join. Also a clean solder tip helps.
Rubber paint to seal the job. Done!!

                          Thanks Obrien,

Yer i think its going to turn out pretty sick to mate.

                              Update

                              OK,

This is where I'm up to with the build.
I've started to prep the side of the boat and added a bigger chime.
The extended chime is for turning and looks ,
With these Maritimo's they tend to slide out in a corner when trying to apply power.
This is why i have added the bigger chime , to help with the slide out affect at speed.
Also added a very small 7 volt fan up front for the esc .
Just waiting on my strut and then i can finish the back of the boat and paint her.

Looks awesome Rick! Doing the chine like that doesnt cause it to roll in a turn? I know that works on V hulls, just never seen anyone do it on a cat? Did a nice job on it though, as usual.
