I have the first coat of primer drying now. I will only need 2 solid coats to cover it all up. I finished the sanding with 220 grit. I am headed out to fab a new hatch now. As you can see I have 2 coils around the motor. A jacket was out of the question. The cans vented every where.

Yeah the v2 endbell is the best in the business. The epic shock endbell is nice also. I burned 2 of them up in my abc f550. That was before I learned prop selection and how to test.

Just a helpfull hint... Paint or primer Is allways a minimum 2 step process. First, Know your pot life! Lay down a light coat. Let It start to tack up then lay down a slower thicker coat (not to slow)before It dries. etc...

On projects where you need to build up with the primer, you can use a thick filling primer like slick sand from evercoat. Depending on temp pot life Is about 45 mins. roughly every 15 mins you can lay a thick coat on.
When your done, you have a thick coating to sand to get smooth. works great over rough fiberglass out of the mold without gel coat.

                        Frig!!!!!!!!

Thanks Doug it did look good @ that point lol. I have had a pain DISASTER !!. I don't really understand why. It was preped right and both colors and primer is the same brand and ment for plastic.. I am just a little more than pissed. Like a smeckle I kept trying to recoat it instead if just accepting it wasent going to cover. I DRED sanding this crap off back down to the primer. After fixing this cluster_ _ _ _ i'm just going to leave it gloss whit and sticker it. I quit.....

Did you use a degreaser before applying the paint? Also did you get full coverage with the primer?

if ya havent done anything yet try scuffing that area and re-priming that area again. then scuff one more time and try paint again
