On proboats site. In this case I had no choice. I t was either cut the back of the stern off or make the bracket. This was less work. Had I cut that seem out the transom would have been about a ridged as a garbage bag...lol

      Off to Test

Well I'll call this one complete. I had planed to use carbon rods for a catch. But since this boats only holding me over for a couple months I didn't want to waist the money. So I busted out some wire coat hangers and went to work. Very simple to work with and when braced pretty strong. I even used a peice to brace the steering linkage.lol handy stuff. Im off to the lake shortly to test this thing out. I'll have a clip later on this afternoon.

Is that enough padding? even though this is to rescue boats that are upside down or stalled. you dont want boats such as the jolly to be scratched. At the time of resue you wouldnt mind a scratch to get it safely to shore. maybe its just the pics. I kinda question the strength of hanger wire as well. upside down 36" cat can have quite a bit of drag. Grand Idea with the outboard! awesome

Now she won't set any SAWs records, but she is faster than your avarage Tennesee redneck in a plastic Gamefisher with a 35lb thrust trolling motor.:D
That was one of the most exciting races I have ever been in.

No sir, the net is capable of lowering 60 degrees. It is operated by a 12vdc actuator.

Can't wait to see the results on this one! Sounds like a fun build! Hope the hull works out for you because your other hull has a slight scratch and a ding on it! lol! I've wanted to do the same thing a number of times. Good call on smashing the s--- out of that one, i feel your frustration.

                    Hope the build goes well!
Where just a bunch A-hulls with boats...

Twin screws driven by Bosch drill motors. Two Proboat ESCs controlled by a stick radio. She drives like a Bobcat. (no rudders)
