I am going to credit Mike L (cybercxt) for the tube idea...I just made it go through the cowl instead. Also, you wil want to use aluminium tubing (or brass) which your plug (I use 5mm) just fits through. You also need to use the shrink tubing which is lined with epoxy or silicon (which ever it is) this seals the hole properly and also holds the shrink and cables in place really well.Comment

roger that on the shrink...
13. here is something I do to all of my models. fuel dots from central hobbies as drain plugs. Helps air out the hull as well. More crucial for wood hulls.Attached FilesComment

14. rear bulkhead is fitted and glued in place. Top of bulkhead is approx. 40mm from back edge but I have about a 10degree tilt leaning back to give that extra 10mm or so of room for the steering system travel.Attached FilesComment

15. Wire tubes installed. Gonna shelve it a week or two til more parts come in.Attached FilesComment
-
16. Cooling line access. s.s. tubes will seal using pushrod bellows against the carbon bulkhead. This is the easiest way I could think of while keeping the lines minimal and simple , also this allows for other esc's later on.Attached FilesComment

yup. saves weight too. Just makes everything simpler and more roomy.Comment

18. I use an anlge finder to make sure my bolt pattern is straight!
19. I decided that 4mm bolts would be just right and this boat does have a transom doubler made out of alu to accept threads... but this is really good for rudders and strut mounts that get bolted down once or twice, but with constant tuning changes in height for conditions and props I thought it would be nice to have something I can put a little more English on. I cut the heads off some 4mm x 20mm s.s. bolts and made up these studs. Now you can use 4mm locknuts with washers to tighten and adjust with the studs taking all the load instead of the alu plate.
20. Here they are installed ready for action.Comment
