So is the 5" a good choice would the dual 3.5" be better suited?

Still need to do some body work. I test painted the hatch and rudders and am pleased with the results (2 primer coats, 2 base coats of dark blue, and 2 coats of metallic blue) and . Unfortunately, I did not seal the wood before priming it - is there a problem with that? It is just a fun, play boat so it isn't supposed to be a show stopper.

I took it out for a "test drive" a few days ago and it works great! But I don't think I want to use the Mystery ESC (Pentium 100A). I puffed a cheap 3S lipo when the battery ran down and I would like it to have reverse. I also want to run it with a 4S lipo.

          Any suggestions?

Video will be forthcoming after bodywork is complete.

Yeah, use a car esc. Disable the brakes and your game!

Chop. Hope your build continues to workout. If you are interested in the esc I offered, feel free to contact me. I am always looking to help fellow boaters.

yurkanip, I truly appreciate your offer, but I am more comfortable with the higher amperage ESC.

                      Thank you for offering.

I don't know if you want to go higher than 100a, but there's always this:

                        It's a big'n.

chop...no problem..if you don't end up finding one, feel free to contact me. it will be here. I really doubt you will need anything over even 80a, considering it is an airboat. not nearly the drag that a prop drive hull produces in drawing amps.

Remember, I will usually be running on snow and ice.
