if you wanna know how well it works, then put one in a boat. Randy's was in the 70 mph range. Thats nothin to sneeze at in a 1/8 scale hydro. Especiall for the price! Seems they're getting the job done to me. The only people i hear complaining about it's performance are those who havent even ran one.

For the price I'd buy one and I have seen one run here in San Diego in a scale roundnose hydro. It ran great, not 70 mph but it looked to be about 50.

HMM 50 mph not what you really expect out of a big motor like that. You could get 50 with a cheaper motor. Of course I like your analogy now V. Thats politics for you. LOL Randy said 56 in video . If he was running 70 with screamer why go to a nue and run 62?????? for twice as much money. If screamers pushed scales 70 like talking about it everyone would have one @ 149.00. 70 mph is a competitive scale in any book and would classify a screamer as more that just a sport runner, U cant justify 50 mph for 149.00 when you see the kb45 llumar.I dont need to run it im waiting on your lightning fast elam u got a screamer rite? rum yours and show us 70 mph. Ill be glad to see it .

I think you get the general idea econo vs Thoroughbred. I would rather have a water cooled outrunner motor than a lot cheaper non water cooled one.

Ok I see your point but you know as I do you can buy a cooler for 25 dollars and it weighs less to so its really a matter of personal opinion do you agree? Did you ever hit 70 with the screamer?

I still haven't found a definitive answer as to what ESC works right with the Screamer! Ryan, enlighten me!

I think the best it ever did with a X455 prop is about 60MPH, The Pro boat never has gone 70ite ever!

My1973 Miss Budweiser was the one with a 3040 8T Leneher and 10S2P that went all most 70MPH average at the SAW's. It is the record holder at this point.

I think the M-2000 is the best one.

The m2000 and swordfish are both made by heifei very similar except swordfish has water cooling and datalogging .I like the M but the wires are small ,it has no conformal coating, and no datalog option. It a good esc if modded for a boat but if not and it gets wet on the logic side forget it.I didnt think you hit 70 someones misinformed but 60 is good I guess and capable of winning a race as long as you got some dnf-ers out there.A good race boat is one that consistently finishes races rather it be dependable equipment or drivers that can stay of the bouys and the retrival boats if there are any out there. For some that might be a problem lol.

Yeah Ive seen that clip that is a fast scale u got and it jumps up on plane fast! But a 3080 big bucks.I was just curious with the motor change. So when is scoot supposed to have new motors? My problem is its no good if he presents a new motor then dissappears til another comes out. If there were more support I think one could make a go of it with a screamer but there are so many things to consider .Without support youre lost.

Thats cool but you are so ready to disprove with aggression when none of its that serious. I mean to tell someone they cant ask another member a question is skewed. Everbody is wrong from time to time including you . I hope you keep it cool and dont break your neck trying to antagonize me. Everyone is free to their own opinion and anyone can ask any question they want to share info.Thats what the forums about. For instance you speak as if youre schooling me on scales ive run scales for 20 years . This is your first 1/8th scale not mine. I really wish youd use that talent to prove me wrong instead of tell me im wrong. You got an elam and a screamer show us what you can do and lets all be cool.Im not being sarcastic either I hope that screamer pushes your elam to 70 we all do! If you do it Ill be right behind you asking what props what batteries etc.Hey you got fast boats u never heard me deny that so come on. This isnt X talking this is hugh OK?If you dont accept my offer of friendship ill leave it here for you anyway. You made fun of my test u called it a failure but it wasnt it inspired someone to TRY the kb in an 1/8th scale and look at the results. If you trust me I wont lead you a stray. I never give advice unless ive done calculations or run it in real life.People not you think they can calculate pitch speed and tell you how fast it will run theres alot more going on than just that. Id never bet my money on a technical argument with anyone coz as soon as you think something is impossible here comes some ingenious idividual making it work. Not only that physics involves alot of theory theory is always waiting to be disproven . Like finding a new prime number. Do you know what im saying?

                          Peace Hugh

Sorry man. Not trying to disprove anyone. I was just stating what Randy had said the motor did in his boat. It seems, though the may not be turning as big of props as first suggested, that they do still make a lot of power reliably. I know a couple guy's are running the hv 240's with it. Someone just posted a vid the othe day of a BIG cat on 9s with a screamer and it moved out really well. I'll try to find it. BTW, I sold my screamer. Needed $ for another build at the time. I ended up using that esc in another boat which is now gone. I ran the Elam twice with a Neu 2215 and the swordfish, and it was pretty dang fast, even on a small x452.

I can tell you know when you properly prop that 2215 its a wrap that thing is going to fly. I promise you dog ill never hate on you. If you got a fast boat you got a fast boat. Now tell me this why in the hell you runnin a 452 on that beast? you put 457's or bigger on just about everything youve had whats up with the 452 on the beast? Thats so un-rumler of you?lol . As far as the screamer on a lower cell count i believe you but what was the propsize and what were his amps? The problem I have with the screamer is no one has got it hot but it isnt turning anything bigger than a 460. Something is off. Im leaning toward the wrong amount of poles versus the stator arms. I say this cause we did a diagram of the screamer in flash and i think only one pole is magnetized at a time instead of two opposing poles at a time.Do you undersatnd what im tyring to say?
