The 36" Drifter is a very nice boat, I think that you don' t want a twin motor but that should be great.
6S is good ant if you want a hot setup 8S is better with a 540 XL 14 turns motor

          Sampit,
I don't think the 12XL has enough kv to acheive what you are after on 6S, have a look at post #3 from 6ofthebest1, John has this set up very fast, I think you are better off with a larger diameter motor such as the neu, and you will need close to 2000kv to make it happen.

          Cheers...Tim

              Sampit,
Both Fluid & John have the exact set up they are recommending, if you want to ensure success, you should take their advice...........

              Cheers...Tim.

Twin 540 12XL looks good to me or may be 580 sized L8 or L9 for more torque

                And high capacity batteries

you dont need big motors to go fast. just by running 2p you will gain speed
after doing some testing the etti esc dont rev as much as the castle esc i noticed 10 -15 kph slower with the etti so i would get the neu 1515 1.5y cc 240 6s2p x646

How does 2p gain speed? I assume it was a typo

if you have used both etti and cc you will no where i am coming from
try running 2p in you boats see what happens

no i havent run either, just wondered how the etti limits the rpm?
since 30-40c batteries became readily available i no longer run 2p setups as my boats dont need anymore than that, and being 1p there lighter wich makes them faster. but everyones setup is diffrent
