Not sure if I will keep it or not after the 1/16 shovel nose. I will if I can get a standard hatch for it that bolst down with a couple of thumb screws.

About .21" offset. The offset didn't throw me off. I remember that from the gas and nitro days.

        OK, so far we have:
        Rumdog - set it up. had a 380 8L for 3633kv on 3s
        Jesse, ran it with ?
bustitup owned it but couldn't fit in it!

I had something similar to Rummy's and ran it on 2S. I only sold it cause I already had a micro hydro. I may sell my other one as well since I am getting more into the 1/12 - 1/10th scale hydros.

Brian, I think you need a big cat, there is lots of room for even Nick's chubby digits. I might be able to direct you toward a real winner, and a super deal... Complete minus radio - and knowing me I might even be able to add a radio to make it a real RTR!

            Deal or no deal?

LOL, thanks. The mean machine is nice running, and running it in that rough water was fun. My smaller boats would have been shored. Well, except the mini-v's, they also love that stuff.

My problem is my impulse buys. They always get me in trouble it seems.....

The mean machine is a nice hull, I am just not sold on the looks.

Spending money is a funny thing. $160 for a cat and then you need batteries and I balk at a total price of $300 to $350. But I will place an order for $800 to $1200 worth of ammo to feed the NFA toys without blinking, and that can only be used once! Feeding $300 of ammo a outing into a $7,000 machine gun seems cheaper on a ratio basis than putting $180 worth of reusable batteries into a $160 boat.

For an engineer, I have funny reasoning, don't I?!?!?

No vids of my toys yet, only one of me is this one. this is my friends 1919A4 watercooled like a 1917, but in semi auto only. Still, a 250 round belt in under a minute. that is about $.25 a shot or $60+ a belt.

Actually I was talking of my twintruder... same company/quality, different boat altogether. take a look: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=11396

Much more fun than $.25 pieces at a blurring rate... IMO ( I like shooting pistols and pulling skeet once in a while tho)

We are always talking about small batteries like 3s 2200mAh. I would like to know if it's possible to fit in this hydro a 2S 5500mah. Is it too big? Or is there enough space?

I would like to mount a Feigao 380-6L 4990kv, and I need more mAhs.

It would prob. be too big. Even if it did fit, the handling would suffer from the extra weight. Why do you need so much pack capacity?

                    Why 5500 mAh?

In Spain, we can't run with 3S. Just with 2S, 4S or 6S. That's why with a 380-6L (60 amps) I need as much amps as possible.

                      Battery

I know one of my 3s-1800 - 20c turnigies will fit in the front, but it was tight. It would be tight to fit two of the 2200 - 2s in there, so I think a larger battery would be out. It really is a pretty small boat.

next hydro will be a 1/16 shovel nose built over the winter.
