Price drop: $60 reduction - see below (also offers considered!!)
I know you never thought I would do this.... but economics govern the depth of the pockets.
Reasons for selling:
1) Don't have people to race with in area
1b) ponds are frozen until next May
2) Need to reduce size of fleet to accommodate other projects (cars)
3) Won't be able to drive it for almost a year...
Reasons for buying:
This is a great hull, rare and super stable - even at 60 mph (I actually only hit 58.5). It looks really good especially at speed and in chop up to 12". Twins sound like nothing else! many more reasons.
Here is the description.
Hull: Original Hydro and Marine Intruder 38" catamaran with twin canopies. Hull suffered minor damage during shipment, I fixed a crack in the canopy and reinforced the entire canopy with thick FG to withstand a high speed flip. Hull bottom has no blemishes nor cracks and is in perfect shape. There are minor hairline stress fractures in several places on the deck, but do no penetrate the glass nor pose any structural compromise. Painted and graphics applied by me. Paint was Krylon primer and color. (edit - added) I forgot to mention that I reinforced the transom for the struts and rudder with cross-glued 3/16" ply glued in with JB weld.
Hardware: nothin but the best all bought new and installed by me. Top secret rudder, 4" ($45); Tough Racing struts ($65 each!) designed for large cats. Custom wire drives from Jeff Wohlt, .098 wire to 6mm stubs. Matched balanced/sharpened/detounged x442 props prepared by the masterful Egneg. Custom motor mounts designed by me and CNCd by Peter Zicha - these are version 2!. These mounts were designed for the Neu 1515 cans with water jackets, but as you can see also support the BJ motors installed now. The mounts are thick aluminum and very strong. Motor couplers were also custom by Wohlt. I installed the SS stuffing tubes with teflon liner. I have installed an adjustable custom plexiglass tunnel flap to control running attitude - which works wonderfully!
Electronics: Futaba MB/BB high torque servo (new), Twin BJ motors and ESC purchased new/gently used by me. NO RADIO INCLUDED.
