    another falcon

Just thought you might like to have a look at my 41 falcon
not as ambitious as yours, mine is a budget build, but goes quite well, still tweaking, it does 90kmh but is running a bit wet and will have to try some more props yet. motors KB45S , Etti controllers, 6S1P to each motor 5600MAH

Looked at your set up, your stated performance sounds pretty good as long as your stuff is running cool , i dont have any expieriance with kb45 motors what kv are they ? I would try moving your batteries forward looks like your cg could be off and maybee that is why it is running wet.
Mine is a budget build too, 4=$32.00 540xl 9 turn's from H.C. I might put some real dynomite in it later but for now my goal is 60 mph on 4s with cool temps .

rearwheelin, moving the batteries forward will cause the boat to run wetter..

Yeah I LOL'ed when I read that too.

Ive seen the Falcon first hand, its a real nice tidy build. Should be able to lay the smack down on some petrol boats once its all tuned Graham!

                Hi
The motors are 8 turn which are 1700KV
The batterys are on a sliding platform so as to move CofG easily, i think thats fine, it needs a bit more, angle on the stingers thats all, havent had a lot of time to play with this one .
Will try and get some video soon
                thanks

its only been wet 5 or so times hasn't it Graham?

Bit more tuning and it should be hitting 60mph no sweat

Let me know if you want to go for a run at BP tomorrow and I will bring my video camera and gas cat for a run..

OO heck .... I dont know what a wet boat is...lol...I thought wet boat was the point on a boat were the wieght is to high and causing unnecessary down force and drag and could be corected by redistributing the wait . Sorry fella's , My boats all need the wait up front or they will blow over.....

I need some help on what left and right prop to start with...andy brown from cmdi has a matched set of x450/3 I could start with...any suggestions here?...flex shafts are .187 with 3/16" prop shafts l&r naturally

this build will move much faster now
                      the goal is 100mph
                      This project is now awesome
Please post any progress with a few pics.

Make sure you video the first time out , I think this boat is boing to fly !!!!
The x450's sound good but i would try 447 l n r 2 blades first. Also dont run your prop to deep, bottom of strut no deeper than bottom of sponsons, probably 1/8'' to 1/4'' obove sponson. Also ,do you run thrust washers, I used octura 3/16 3/8 o.d .size(all 4 in the bag), you will also need to counter sink the bushing into the strut ,( if you dont do this you will risk grinding you bushing off into you strut) I like my boats to thrust with the drive dog and strut and not the cable, speed master is the way to go !

That a great first run! Hows was the heat on the KBs? What props were you using?
Lots of potential with this setup especially on 6S
