Very nice! I would start with a x445 for testing. But you should be able to run a x642 or m645 for more speed. As normal watch the motor and esc temps.

      Nicely Done!

Put some flotation in there, it's too nice to give to the pond gods.

      All the best,

      Ray

        Thankyou Steve and Ray.
ill start with the x445 for the first run, and fit the floatation as Ray suggested(thought it looked better for the pictures without the pool noodle fitted)
Now to finish the Mean Machine Steve sent a while ago.

Nice Present! Hey looks like my mount on my DF 29, I better go downstairs to check if its still there . Yes Peter does very nice work, he just built me a mount for my HOTR Cat and will get him to make one for my Phil Thomas SS45 when I start that build. Like the rails you put in, very nice clean build. These hulls like to move, I know you'll like it. Like Steve said try the x445 I use a modified 445 in mine with a 8xl and speeds are 57 mph GPS, amps spike at around 130. Keep us posted.

ksm2001, the reason i built this boat and the way i built it was seeing yours first.
Yes Peter does make a very nice designed mount, most of my boats have his mounts.
Peter just made me a low profile mount for my Mean machine(build starts this week.
ill start with the 445 as you suggested, hope it goes like yours !

At 600kg with a 245kw+(just wind up the boost) SR20 nissan, its as fast and more fun for TWO than my Aprilia RSVR, Bonewar.
Now you can see why im into Fast Electric boats "Excelleration"
                    this is why i built a DF29 not a DF33.
sharpening a X445 and a X645 at the moment to test tomorrow

Heard SR20 and got excited, I have plans for a project in the near future that involves a SR20 and a datsun 510. lol.

Another prop to think of is a Prather 220. Very nice build, the ESC may and may I say be your only suspect problem.

very nice build toys, I run a m445 on 8xl with an etti 150 in my DF29 and it hauls, you should be able to run a m447 on the 9xl, but like Douggie said the speedy may let you down.

Ace028 anthing with a SR20DET will motivate (the Puma has seen 240kph) good luck with the Project.

Dougie Ill try the prather 220 as you suggested and i might swap out the Seaking 120 for a Seaking 180,would this cut it????

Heath thanks mate, i hope to see you at the nationals next year, with my DF33,mean machine and my XS3 hydro.May have a Skunk works tunnel by then if i can get my hands on one.

Craig, I have to agree with Douggie on the 120 amp speed control being a problem. I would personally go with the 180. Here is the graph of my DF29 running a HM 200 amp esc with the 8xl and m445 pushing 140 amps. The 120 may be fine with a x440 or x442 but might be letting the smoke out with the 445.
