Please, don't get me wrong. The conversion can be done, but it's going to take some creative thinking for packaging all of the componets.

    Happy Building

Mark Anderson had one of these hulls at the NAMBA Nats this summer, and they are TINY, very minimalist boats... I don't even think I could fit a 2S system in there... I wouldn't even begin to try fitting a 4S system.

The boat looked better suited for a 380-sized motor and smaller packs...

Will be watching to see what you come up with for a power system...

If you guys can read the International Waters website... there is an entire thread dedicated to this boat, started by Rod Geraghty himself...

That is what make this hobby so intersting! Coming up with new builds and ideas.. I am not lookin for a P-Spec racer,,, (Raptor has that handled),,, just fun cheap and easy to build.... Kinda like a Big brother to the Renegade rigger..

OK, here's my take on the .12 boat:
It's about the same size as our older N2 boats from the days of early NiMh. I have the plans here and started fitting bits to see what would work.

              I go with a single 4100mah Neu XPi 2S pack, a cheap 60-90 amp ESC, and a Feigao 380L 6t. Solinger hardware.

              $45 battery, $50 motor, $50-60 esc.

It should make a great sport rigger thats fast and cheap.

The 1/2" tub height shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep the weight down.

That's what I was looking for!! The only thing I have played with is P spec stuff. Finding the right motor speedo combo was a nightmare for me. Does a mid 30mm prop sound like a good starting point?

I just want to restate this. The kit is really well made and a pleasure to build...so far lol!

The .21 version should be out before Christmas.
I've been building the JAE .12 for nitro power and spent most of yesterday in the basement getting my fingers sticky with epoxy.
Here's some shots of some completed hulls, the .12, .21 and the .45. For those of you with monster cans and a lot of battery packs, there will be a gas version down the road.

They're not saying yet but I know that some .21's have been built and very few of the .45 size. I'd guesstimate them as being close to other 'riggers in the same class size. One thing you might notice is that the sponsons have a wider stance than most others. This is a trick from the Japanese who run in rougher water than what we normally do.
