I thinks 1527's are over kill!
    Ive got my HPR 135 ( longer, wider ) running 2 1527 1.5y's..
It was built by Kevinlew and he built it to run 12s.
Im just taking it easy and decided to just run 10s for now and even in a lake limited to the length of it , i still Gps'd it at 75mph on only 10s!!

If your goin to run a similar setup in a smaller boat it'll just kill it IMO.

looks good, how do you plan on mounting your rudder? i installed my transom doublers tonight and will drill the drives in the morning my motors have been stuck in customs the last 5 days... awaiting import fees or something, nice of them to tell me their there, only found out through the tracking number...

V, I will probably do something similar to what is found in this build:

I may fill the rudder void first with epoxy, let it cure then drill the holes through the transom and epoxy and skip the tubes for the rudder mounting screws. To locate the holes for drilling, I am going to put masking tape over the rudder mount and mark the hole locations then peel the tape off the rudder and install the marked masking tape onto the transom. Then drill:) Sounds painless anyway. I may have a couple beers to get the curiage up before I drill...

hope the wedding went well anyway... ive already drilled 4x3mm holes started with a Archimedes drill (so easy to get it level) and worked up to 3mm just one hole doesn't properly line up (used hand drill for 3mm) ill either get it with a needle file or drill 4mm holes and do what Serge did although i don't know where ill get 4mm outer 3mm inner stainless might have to machine it at school the black rudder holder part doesn't ever need to come out really so i guess i could just mount the rudder with some 2 cm long screws and alot of washers and pour epoxy in

I might not get a very good grade if I am being graded on the inside.. Had an issue where some paint made it to the inside of the boat.. Its not super bad but the carbon will never look as nice as it did when it came from HP.

Could you not get it off with acetone and a scrubbing brush?

I think I may try that next. Is that safe for the Carbon Fiber?

Aslong as you don't leave it on the cf for too long it should be ok me thinks
