Sorry I have answered none of your messages. My life has been full of work and family crap lately. I should have kept it in my underpants all those years ago. Bloody kids.

Been a while since I posted so I thought I would share a few pictures and 2 videos of my Mini Hydro I picked up of ebay. Just running it as it arrived in the mail at the moment. Top speed was 48 kph with the gps taped to the deck. The gps is quite large in relation to the hull so I am guessing a little over 50 kph without the gps. It runs a 3s 1300 mAh battery and 3 minute runs seem to be no problem. Not fast but a great little boat when I only have a small part of the lake that is like glass. The car keys in the picture will give you some idea of how small it is. Hull is 15.5 inches in length. Notice how small the little motor is by comparing it to the receiver.
Videos...
The transmitter is a HK310 and to tell you the truth I am amazed at how good it is for the price. Feels good to hold and is smooth to operate. Distance seems to be about the same as my much more expensive Spektrum transmitter. For $31.29 it is hard to beat. Complete boat and radio were on the water for $181.29 and I am having a ball.

I have some videos of my BBY oval rigger that I purchased not long ago so I will link them in here. I absolutely love this boat. I have detuned it simply by putting an X442 prop on to get the speed down to 60 mph. With an X452 the speed is 78+ mph but that is too fast for my ability to run oval laps yet and would probably soon cook things anyway if I continued to do too many laps. I will get some experience at 60 mph and then slowly move up in prop size.

Paddy, as the lassies will tell you size is not important, it is the poise, stability and directional control that is important.
