Paddy that is not a gasser, it is my 12s 2p Silex hull. A rather funny little experiment, we have wrapped the magnets of a 2215 1.5Y with sticky tape to stop them delaminating. It only gets to 100 deg C on 12s pushing a big old MW3 prop at 120 mph and it has 4 hydra 120 esc in series that people said could not be done but work great.

I might be a Tasmanian but why would you want a tuned pipe on a 2215 motor. Does it play "Jingle Bells" as it goes along.
Did you study the pics above (not the ones in the email as I bet you studied those)?

What do you think about me getting Douggie to spray the Stator a nice glossy black so that it looks new again? Maybe that would fix it. I guess he could run some blue paint in where the blue crap is missing also. Should be like a new motor then.

Pipe what pipe???? It does use a cooling tower similar to a Nuclear Power station though, perhaps this is what you are talking about??
I am sure Dick, i mean Douggie would fix that motor up real nice with a bit of his water based finger paint or you could wrap sticky tape around it like I do

I cleaned the 1521 0.5y motor inside and put is back together. It is cogging like a new one and spins like a new one. When I get time I will throw a few volts through it and see what happens. Apart from some of that blue toothpaste missing and a bit of the gunk on the stator loosing it's gloss it seems OK. At worst I could paint it pink and sell it to Douggie as a Feigao. That would make his Tugboat rip.
My new/secondhand Hydra 240 arrived today so now I have a dedicated one for each boat. That makes me feel better. Nothing worse than being down to your last esc and it has to run several boats.
I will have to get a small allen key to open the 1527. I think that motor is stuffed. The windings are a nice shade of Grey. Much the same Grey as you see on Douggies knackers.
