WARNING THESE VIDEOS ARE BANNED IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA
Took the Maritimo to the lake this morning. That thing still wants to fly as the second video will show you. It appears to lift the nose early in the run and blow over a little later. Maybe I am hitting the throttle a little hard and lifting the nose and the acceleration is holding the nose up until it gets to a speed where the air blows it off the water.
I will put all the videos here for those that have the time to look...

This video will show you the blow over

Not wanting to blow over again I kept the speed down for the next few runs

    2 faster runs

Several boats in various stages of destruction

      Paddles.
In your second vid you gave wot when it was still getting itself on plane..
Because small size and rampant enthusiasm for wot .. you need to get her on plane before you give her the finger

You need to get it up on plane (~1/2 Th) before wot.. and your puddle is a bit short both ends to achieve this... because when you back off it will travel 20-30M before turn

That's what was done here when I broke her in.. straights are ~120M

Thanks for your comments Doc. I think you are right. The small size of the lake does not help, that is for sure. I will try to exercise a bit more self control.
I am hoping to get some video of the Xzess 2 at approx 140 kph tomorrow. I hope I can get my camera girl out of bed early again. Perhaps I should buy her some KFC for dinner.

Paddy I will bring over some sticks and dets and we can lengthen that puddle no problems, just tell the locals we are mining for Chinese Hookers !!!! As far as the camera girl goes see the mining thing ?? We can kill 3 birds with one stone, rooting, bigger lake and a camera girl. Just DON'T tell that prick Douggie as we will never be able to get rid of the soft cock.

Oh and G'Day everyone, hope you all had a great xmas and new year ! Paddy thanks for putting up those pics, I get better looking with every beer I consume !! It has been a funny week, blew up my compressor and then my polisher let out the smoke. Raining hard 4" in two days, you would not realize I live in the bloody desert. My next boat is coming along nicely, a Insane G6 rigger with some More Go Than Show special sauce on the sponsons, still have to sort out some props yet but should be a competitive little thing. I have also started spraying auto motive 2 pack, WOW what a difference that makes to the finish of my boats !
              Cheers for now

Great to hear from you Andy. We have had 2 days in a row when it has gone over 30 degrees. Hot for us Tasmaniacs. I enjoyed the way you get out of that canoe. Watch out for the Crocodiles mate as it is mating season.
I have 2 new boats waiting to be built also. 1. 29 inch DF clone. 2. A new Xzess 2 on the way from Germany. I broke the old Xzess 2 again today. It is an easy fix but this old hull is not holding together at the speeds it can do. I need some bigger water bad. Most of my boats do well into the 70's and the Xzess 2 well into the 80's. The Xzess 2 seems to run on forever after you let the throttle off. This will be the year we start building our new house so you will be able to come stay and teach my camera girl a thing or two. Catch you on the blower. Thanks for the latest cheese slicer props. Will soon have them churning up the water.

Citizens of Virginia are trying to ban this video

I was not going to put this video up because the camera girl was about 2 seconds late starting the video so you do not see the very start of the run. As you can see the lake is way too short for the speed of this boat. I seem to be on the throttle for about 1 second and then the rest of the video is the boat slowing down. The return run is quite slow so I don't hit the bank. Speed reached was 120 kph or 74.56 mph. The boat has done 140 kph but I had ducks further up the lake today so I had to shorten the run.

At my favorite spot I get about 4 sec of hard action before slowing else it rolls over and Im in the sh1t... too hard too fast too long I get thrown out of the wet stuff into the shrubbery ... always a hassle getting back to the driving position.

Paddy at least you have video that moves with the boat now. I am in the same boat as you with not enough water at the pond by my house. Yesterday I went to test my twin cat on 5S and a new radio system and didn't have enough room for good WOT passes. I did however let the smoke out of one of the motors. I do have a spare until I get it rebuilt thankfully as these Aveox 36/30/1.5 are no longer made but are very good motors.

By the way I used the Miss Geico to scare the ducks and geese off the pond before the Skunk hit the water.

Sorry to hear about the Aveox motor Chuck. That name has been around a while. I remember them when I had my first not so fast electric boat. I had a mixture of Nitro and electric then.
I have been out looking at a bigger lake this morning. A little harder to access but no problems getting a 400 meter run. My heart problem worries me there because of rescuing a dead boat could mean a 1 kilometer paddle. Not sure the old ticker is up to that. I need a motorized dingy on a big lake like that. Andy and I were discussing yesterday on the phone about how lucky he is to have a friend to go boating with him. It is hard for me to even get one of my family out of bed to do some decent videos for me. They don't mind me paying all their bills but when it comes to me wanting help they are tired. One day I will go boating and not come home. 63, overweight, Angina, Diabetis and high blood pressure is a recipe for disaster but I love my boats.
Bloody hell Doc, I almost made myself teary... send me some Kleenex M8

Two men are out fishing quietly and drinking beer.

Silently, so as not to scare the fish, Bob says, 'I think I'm gonna divorce my wife.
She hasn't spoken to me in over 2 months.'
Earl continues slowly sipping his beer then thoughtfully says,
'You better think it over, Bob. Women like that are hard to find.'

Until recently I could drive to the water's edge, unload the bits and chuck in a boat.
If it stopped Id grab a fishing line and tennis ball... and go fishing..
However, I discovered on Sunday the council have now erected a boat proof fenceline to stop ppls using the grassed areas .. making it a 100M slog down the slope to the water.. and an even more audibly arduous slog back up.
So much the effort I drove home boats untested on Sunday .. straight to Fleabay where I bought myself a gardencart that's going to have a 3S drive motor on rear axle.. carry an automotive battery for recharges and to drive the cart.. carry my boats and a 22" rescue mono I spied from R2Hobbies..( an unsinkable rescue craft... Im gunna test that theory out )

You want a kleenex ?.. nah.. will send a chux.. they're reusable .. nose, navel, nob, 3rd eye .... . remember to rinse between ..
