I thought it was about time I gave some of my other boats a run.
First cab off the rank was my BBY oval rigger. This has to be my best all round boat. It is fast in a straight line and the corners. As you can see it was very close to 70 mph and that was on an old slightly puffed lipo. It has hit 78 mph on a good battery.

Next contender to enter the ring was the ex Doc W Maritimo. I love the sound of the screaming twins and the way this boat sits on the water at speed. This was it's first trip to the lake after water claimed one of the Swordfish esc's. It was down on its usual speed but once again I was using a battery that needs tossing.

Did you get any Video? I had forgotten what that boat looked like thanks. I need to put together my twin HPR 44 inch cat. it should hit some high speeds on 4S2P 5000mAh, CC 240LV Hydra and Neu 1527 .5Y. with counter rotating 447 props. It needs Paint first.

well translating Farenheit to Celsius will help you. but if that does not help the note below may help.

Damn it Paddy you have to learn to take a corner as I have said before.....sounds great though on the twin....now I want to see you manage a circuit at full speed.

are you saying I should be comfortable in -25C?

No I like much cooler temperature than most people (64 to 71 degrees Fahrenheit) . But I relate to Fahrenheit temps because I have used them all my life. I get mixed up a little seeing Celsius and need to convert to understand. mostly my problem.

i agree about the cooler temperatures but -25 is too cold.
take it this way - 0C is 32F, and they meet at -40.

The Drambuie On Rice was tested again this morning on 9s. I adjusted the strut a little to keep the nose down to prevent blow-overs. That worked remarkably well. Speed went down from 108 kph on 9s to 99.4 kph and there maybe room for some fine tuning to gain back a little of the speed but I would rather a boat that stayed on the water so for the moment it will stay as it is. I have to test it on 10s, 11s and 12s yet so a lot more speed to come from batteries if it stays on the water.
At Chucks request I have uploaded 3 more videos for his viewing pleasure

                          Here ya go Chuck

Paddy, you are learning laddie....keep the bitch on the water and not upside down. Also speed is not always the answer, I suggest you ask June about your 60 second sexual encounters?

One thing to watch wetting down the hull is temps. A more freer run will be cooler, when you run wetter the temps will go up. More to balance in to the equation.

As you said Randy things are are starting to warm up a little now that the hull is running a little wetter. Last night I got to it and ran water cooling to the esc. Worked a treat.
This morning the boat was tested on 10s and speed was 110 kph or 68.35 mph and still a little wet, but as I have 11s and 12s lipos to come I am not changing anything yet. The boat gives me confidence that it can go a lot faster now without a blow-over.

I finally filled that hole in for you Doc
