Nice place, that guy would have killed me if I were in the group... lol......
my legs were sore bro..... by the last 100 yards i couldn't even move them, no matter how hard i tried. i walked up the hill exhausted, and a turned the corner, and there was the parking lot.
ohhh the glory of that sight lol
9.5 miles of technical mountain biking is a helluva workout man.
There's a hole at the center of earth where the rest of the world sinks but i stand still...
I've had a lot of nice mtb's, primarily trek, specialized, giant and several Cannondale's. Canon makes some nice bikes, I really liked the ones I had. I was riding a specialized fs comp, but I sold it and upgraded to a really nice Klein mantra race, the baddest mountain bike I've had yet
it's a full carbon fibre honeycomb frame that is super lightweight and strong as hell. I got it with Bontrager wheels (treks in house made in the USA brand), Bontrager raceface t6 stem, bars & seat post. It also has a shimano 27 speed cassette with rapid fire window shifters.
I finished it off with an insulated water bottle, cage, t6 bar ends and a pair of lockjaw pedals that I ordered from Amazon.
The front forks are 3 Way adjustable manitous w/ 7" of travel. the rear triangle sets on a fox vanilla air float shock with 3.5" of travel. the cool thing is I get zero pedal bob (bouncing while you pedal) even though it has 3" of rear travel.
Gary Klein originally designed this to have a solid front fork and an active rear triangle. the addition of the active front fork was a last minute idea that worked out really well. this thing soaks up single track trails and screams uphill like you wouldn't believe. I didn't think I would ever own a $3k Klein, let alone a beautiful carbon fiber 1, but I do now and I love it.
this damn thing is so perfectly balanced that I noticed one of my plastic valve stem caps was cracked so I tossed it in the trash and replaced it with an aluminum valve stem cap. I carried it outside and left and immediately there was something wrong. at Cell like I had picked up some gravel and through one of the tires out of balance cuz I could fill the wop wop wop the faster I went. come to find out it was very aluminum valve stem cap I put on it. as soon as I remove the aluminum valve stem cap Giada balance issue disappeared
