Here's a real simple and FREE solution...It cleans out all the cookies, caches' and all the other nasties that spyware like Google uses. Lot easier than getting all worked up over nothing.
You might not realize the gravity of this action. This is setting a precedence that others will surely follow if not corrected. Sure, it's easy to erase the cookies, history, etc. after the fact. Firefox will do it each time you shut down. But that's AFTER a session of dragging that info with you around the web each time you browse. Google is taking liberties with your freedom - stalking you on the web for profit. Paparazzi style. And not only will you not benefit from it, but you will have to constantly watch over your shoulder that your words or habits are not misconstrued or damaging in the future. Ignorance is bliss. -Not.

I've noticed that Gmail is trying to force users into archiving their mail instead of deleting it. It is not easy to delete email anymore. What is that all about?

Picked up the Jan 2012 issue of Newsweek at the library and on page 19 under the title "The 2012 New Quiz: Before It Happens" there is a small blurb that reads:

"Google announces the end of it's "do no evil" era and embraces huge profits, tracking of users, selling of personal data, and domination of the worlds information". No Rumdog, not paranoia - just facts. Get on board or get swept under.

I guess if I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to be scared of. I dont really care if people see my pic, or know where I live.

I'm less incline to hand over my rights to privacy than others I guess. I fear that once you loose your rights it is very difficult to get them back. It seems that more and more corporations and govt agencies are trying to take from me in the name of making "things" better. Better for who? That is the real question.

Here is an article on how to remove your Google web history from the site (do it before March 1st 2012), and to keep them from keeping a history on you.

Thanks for posting the link. I checked mine and the web history was not enabled for me. I must have declined it when I initially signed up.
