If the President can only be "in office" 2 terms (8 years) then why do we have the same people in the Senate and the House or representives for years and years (20 years +)??
They have made a lifetime career out of a NON elected position, and they aren't worried about losing their jobs.
Presidents come and go but they stay.....

Term limits would probably limit the influence of special interest groups. In turn, would probably put people in who actually represent the people.

Boy am I with you 100%. I am also for term limits on all public offices. Even our Supreme Court Justices. All elected or even appointed positions should be subject to some form of limits. We have to ask ourselfs why do we allow lawyers (thats most of our elected officials), who debate the very reasoning of a laws purpose. Serve us. And do they really serve us? Not many prove themselves qualified. Why do we accept an educated man over one who is reasonably responsible? What proves the man with the degree more competent then one you knows right from wrong? I'm mystified. But its become the norm for politicians.

On top of the "long terms" they enjoy they "slip" new laws(that would never pass on their own) in with other bills that Will pass.
for instance. the "amber alerting" for abducted children was wanted by everyone and would vote for YES for it.....and they "slipped in" the terrorist act, which effectly gives the government the right to search you,and your property, arrest you and hold you indeiffently as a terorist threat to the country...Without even being charged with Anything!
They do this kind of "lobbying" EVERYDAY!
NO bill should have more than ONE law included for Any vote.

I am not blaming it all on Obama, I am blaming the increasing of it on Obama. Obama believes totally in this system, in fact he wants total Government control in every aspect of our lives. I am kinda shocked that you don't see it myself. Look at what they announced yesterday, they are going around congress on the dream bill.

"This plan amounts to backdoor amnesty for hundreds of thousands -- if not millions -- of illegal aliens," the Republican governor said in a written statement. "We need to remind President Obama that we elected a president that serves beneath the law and did not anoint a king that is above the law."

            smell the coffee Dom.

The keyword here is "They". The president doesn't make the laws. He can only approve of veto them. Even on a veto, Congress can override that. The supreme court determines the constitutionality of the law if challenged. With those facts, How can this be blamed on one man?

Well, if he would not TRY it first, it WOULD NOT happen period. dah smell the coffee Dom. Stupid is as stupid does. Obama is a Government socialist, that is even his background and training. Many in congress agree with his plan as well.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid praised the decision.

They is DOJ and HLS. Obama appointed them.

Holder is a criminal in my opinon, fast and furious gave guns to criminals.

I guess your one of them.......

I'll move to TX when they pull out of the Union.......I think your going to see another seperation of South and North. The Northern city people like total Gov. control on their lives for some reason, problem is, they can't pay for it. So, in the end everyone pays for it. I am sick of it. Ky is a do nothing wishy washy state as well.

So because I don't agree with you, I'm a criminal? Where did I hear that from? Hmmm....Was it that ol' "If you're not with us, you're against us"
I guess I will continue to be a criminal if exercising individual thought and speech is a crime.
Thanks for the label. I'll bow my head in shame because I don't agree with you.
One question, where will you get the money to fund the prisons for people like me who don't agree with your opinions?
