Interesting how the media can find 17 or so (I've lost count and interest) women that Tiger Woods poked, but can't find BO's birth certificate, college records or anything else to substantiating claims he's made. Why so secretive and private if there's nothing to hide? It's just run of the mill info being sought. Maybe he's an ALIEN.

He attended Columbia. I dont think anyone honestly believes he didnt. Too many hits putting him there when I googled it. And I did see commentary from a class mate as well as a professor who did indeed remember him. Just not too many. However that does not matter. Nor do his grades or attendence really. The OP did get me thinking and motivated to see if there was any merit to it. I'm satisfied he graduated from Columbia from my research.

The issue is that politicians step forward and volunteer themselfs to us as to be trusted for their behavior and actions. Future and past. None of us as citizens get together and meet and concur that, " hey,...this guy has the best qualifications and has answered everything I wanted to know about him" based on an interview where we could possibly ask all the pertinent questions. No. We expect them to divulge what are matters of ensuring our trust. Not protect themselves from possible criteria discounting that trust by failing to tell us. That BS.

If they dont ask they dont need to know What a load of crap. We didnt ask them to be public servants. They stepped forward out of the crowd and raised their hands asking for the job. An elected official has made the choice of being under public scrutiny. They divulge their income and donations dont they? There is something very fundamentally wrong with any politician not allowing the very public to which he owes his employment to from gathering information about his views, his lifestyle, his criminal background, his opinion and philosophies.

These guys are not movie stars bathing in fame and seeking shelter from the paparazzi. They are elected officials acting on behalf of the general populace and in their ability to carry out the will of that trust.

In the last 30 years politicians have gotten better at failing to disclose matters effecting their promised performance while in office. We as a nation used to tar and feather these less then performing public officials. Today we cant even get them voted out of office due to our own in fighting or tolerance of which one would be a worse choice. So damn sad.

Generally you are correct. However, because we know very little about these crackheads that serve us, we tend to vote for the popular choice. The ones with the biggest smiles or physical attributes that appeal to us. Some will even vote because the individuals may think similarily on some issues. But, because of the pettiness that has engulfed Washington, politicians have become more guarded than usual. And that pettiness has gripped america. We tend to worry about stupid things like where a guy gives a speech or if he gives a customary bow to a foreign dignitary. We focus on irrelevant things to determine if someone can/is/capable of doing the job. Obama is not the greatest thing since bread, but we could have done worse. As President of these United States of America, we should support him (weren't we told to do the same thing with his predecesser?). We should focus on what is relevant and not on what some paid shill is telling us to think.

I guess you can tell I so dislike the current state of the media...

That depends. He may have been a foreign student while living here, and he may have been a domestic student while living in Indonesia. Or was he a domestic while living here and foreign while there?

Excellent challenge, but do you honestly think the media we now have will EVER start reporting facts and not speculation when the Left is in control? Look at the last election: Did BHO ever get one "tough" question? Were there any investigations of the countless allegations against him (everything from alleged drug-dealing to his questionable citizenship, not to mention his lack of a political resume)? And how did they treat Sarah Palin? Do you think she could have hidden her birth/educational records?

No my friend, it appears that for the most part the "mainstream" media is just another arm of the Democrat Party; they will never accept your challenge unless it is to attack the Right.

I guess we would like the same thing. Accurate non-bias'd reporting. I watch Fox, MSNBC, ABC, CNN, CSPAN (when the history, Syfy and learning channels don't have anything interesting.) and find not so much in liberalism as I do in cynacism, sensationalism, bias, incomplete and inaccurate, editorialism. With borderline conspiricacy theorists thrown in. Granted, our government does do alot of underhanded, shady, back room dealing. I don't think there is really much validity to most virtually purposeless conspiracies. However there are a few, larger purpose driven plausible ones that frankly concern me. Man has sunk so low in envolution to be a tool to own demise.

Why should they care if he was here on his mother's citizenship? At that age, they don't. In fact, schools do everything they can to make their enrollments look as large as possible so that they can get MORE money.

So he could be here on his mother's citizenship, be a citizen of Timbuktu, and until he tries to get money to go to college it won't make any difference. But IF he applied for money as a foreign student, he probably would have to have proved himself one.

Where's his passport from those trips to Pakistan and Indonesia?
