FDR "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way. "

Let say this about the Christmas events. :

1: His father warned the Us.
    2: His passport was expired.
3:He bought a one way ticket for 2600+ in cash.
4:He was going the Detroit in the middle of winter with a wind breaker on.
    5: He had no luggage.
6: He was escorted by and older man, who witnesses said " seemed to vouch for him to get through customs with an expired passport.

War is not called a theater just by chance: You have The basic parts of a play they are: the story, plot, exposition, dialogue, conflict, complications, climax, ending. The acts and intermissions. Then you have the characters: The Protagonist, Antagonist, Foil/Counterpart, Stock characters, Type, Narrators and Non-Human characters, Confidante's and of course The Authors and the Audience.

I Just redacted most of my reply, Why? Above your pay grade and may overload your cerebral cortex. But, In life I've learned, from a saying my Dad once told me " a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion in the end", Nothing happens in a vacuum. Those who are adroit at Chess knows, That each man plays his position until the time come to be sacrificed, and in the world we live in, just as in chess, those sacrifices usually occur without your knowledge or consent.

We let Dr. Jet round up and kill all the Muslim male extremists between between the age of 17 and 40 and everything will be fine. Better do the 16 year old boys too since they will be 17 soon enough. Heck, take out the 10 to 16 year olds, just in case. Oh, and the 40 to 60 year olds too. They can still be pretty spritely.

              Genocide is the clear solution.

Youth or age has no bearing on killing those threats to friendly forces or those dedicated to harming the USA. Once you rationalize innocence based upon a certain age or sexual bias you just weakened our defense. Women? Children? All capable of being a mechanism of the Jihad or extremists. Dont buy onto that humane treatment/rationalizing crap nor do you purport to tell our military forces to let down their guard on such weak attitude. Wear the uniform. Go out on missions and face the violence. Pull the trigger when needed to save lives.

Its way too easy to arm chair complex issues of war. Kill 16 year olds? No problem. You have free speech because of brave men who have fought and fight today providing us with the blanket of freedom. Its not free. It costs dearly and daily. Its because of our populations location, our isolation, that we dont take a clear cut hard stance against such continuance against the west. There are many enemies to western democracy. And we should never allow anyone or anyplace to force us to lower our defences.

Trust me if your neighbor was car bombed yesterday or you lost your house and family due to rockets reigning down from across the border you would see the truth for what it really is. Nothing makes it right. But its the truth.

                  screwed

I read a thread like this and get depressed. I realize just how screwed we are.

wow, some think down on american because of Hawaii. People think toyota is an American company because they are built in America. Clinton was a good president because we had a surplus for 4 out of his 8 years. Other people think a prosperous time is due to a president or government doing something as opposed to hard working citizens. some think the dems are doing the right thing. Some think the rebublicans are doing the right thing. Some think a president really has that much influence as opposed to the things congress does.

Now they are voting to raise our dept ceiling to 14,300,000,000,000 dollars and they hoped they wouldn't have to vote again until AFTER the elections(what does that tell you). Now it has come out that we could hit 14,300,000,000,000 by the end of this month. This month! Another 1.9 trillion already. Doesn't this concern anyone or can you not see where this leads?

argue among yourselves and have fun. I am building some small boats to get other kids/fathers into the hobby. why? Not just for the fun of it. We need to reunite the family. Get Fathers to pass wisdom onto thier kids. Get kids involved in something technical. something that will break and they will have to learn how to fix it. how to trouble shoot. sure, that DC brushless motor ESC will not teach them everything, but it starts a thought process of learnign and doing. that is why I am doing this. I enjoy it, and I can start something larger than myself that may just change the direction of some young peoples lives.

Americas days are numbered Gentlemen. I believe we will survive, but we will no longer be the leading country in the world. the "evil" that people think we bring to the world will go away and be replaced by someone else. Probably China or India, maybe someone else. that is the way of things. Read the 5000 year leap. all countries make mistakes, but America has been an incredible thing that we have been able to share in and many prosper from. the net has been very, very positive.

                  ADD side note:
Oh, hawian's haven't always had a paradise. Those islands would only support a certian population who were productive. Unabled older people would "take a walk to see the Volcano God's" and newborns were left on the beach for the "Shark Gods" if they were deformed. It was a beautiful place, but limited resources to support a civilization. right or wrong, I am not argueing that. But I do not believe it was quite the utopia peopel thought it was. the worlds history is full of people getting conquerred by others. The romans invading the germanic tribes, current ethnic cleansing in African, Mongol invaders, Muslim invaders, Christian invaders, even our own american indians. what about the incans and Aztecs? they were at least advancing. American indians were still in the stone age but the "spanish" get a clear go for takign out the central american civilizations. Like the spanish were always there.

                  end of ADD for now:

anyways, this just makes me sad. I am going to continue to increase my skills and pass them on to as many young people as I can. any nationality, any ability. I believe I personally will do fine and better than average. I have a lot of skills on how to do things. Fix things, negotiate, build, design, survive and prosper. I hope my sons and daughters are the same. Regardless of what happens, my skills will be of value. I am sad for others who will not have that or somethign equal to fall back on.
You guys keep arguing, I feel like going and reloading now..... Besides my family, sometimes I think only my rifle understands me. sorry if you are offended by any of the above.

Don't believe the hype...Our freedoms are defined by the Constitution and not by some Muslim, who barely have the wherewithal to take care of him or herself. I've never seen a Muslim pass legislation to take away any of my freedom or monies I've legally worked for and earned. But I see those portraying themselves as Christians doing it everyday. The Last time I checked, It was the Christians Who had a history of doing the bomb dropping...Nuking.

Arm Chair? the last time I took inventory of our history beginning at the middle of the 20th century our leadership begun to get inundated with arm chair revolutionaries and chicken hawks, up to this present day. You have from: TV commentators (FoxNews...lol, I had to throw that in there, sorry) To Congressmen, Senators, To Presidents; Who have never seen conflict outside of a monitor or news report. Who see it fitting on making decisions how your sons and daughter lives should be expired.

In addition to the multitudes of corporations who profit from continuous chaos. Where are their CEO's and Board of Directors children? I guess off in some Ivy League School, learning the diabolical tricks of the trade.

Neighbors loosing what? My Neighbors are terrorized everyday by Economical Hit-men who wear three piece suits and reside on Wall Street. The last time I checked many of them(neighbors), were being financially bombed out of their homes by cowards who reward themselves off of the suffering of the less fortunate. But wait, let us not speak about the other economical hit-men, who sell you health insurance that is not so reassuring when it's truly needed, and like wars these victims age all vary from infants to seniors.

But hey! its all called "Collateral Damage"...In the Monopoly Game of Capitalism with it's fiat currency, "you gotta pay, if you wanna play"

Their is Nothing Humane about Humanity. We are all complicit in the killings and murdering of each other...Because someway along the totem pole, we benefit from the next mans death.

Why does every conflict we are involved in is to "Protect our freedom?"
Patriotism is too often used as a driving force for the U.S to engage in conflicts that have little to nothing to do with our freedoms. While we're at attacking ethnic groups, Lets go after the Mexicans. They fill up the California prisons. And don't forget black men who can't seem to end their thirst for crime and white women. Let's throw in White protestants for their participation in the KKK, white supremests . Then we can go after the chinese for their affect on our economy and marketing inferior products. The Japanese. They are getting their revenge for us nuking them so they heavily vested in our financial system. The Arabs for not giving us all their oil. Heck! let's just nuke the world because everyone is trying to destroy America.
Racism starts by a general prejudice of an ethnic group based on the actions of a few. I have seen too much progress thwarted by too much effort placed in blaming rather than finding solutions.

I was just Ranting. I have said it before, face to face I think we would enjoy the friendship. We all share in a wonderful hobby, that is one thing that binds us together on this site of people across the globe. It is not the people, it is peoples blind belief in our leaders that scares me.

Deep down I hope most or all realize that something just isn't right with our leadership and what they are doing. It is not the argueing that bothers me I guess, I am an engineer and love a good debate! I do not think people are honestly mad or angry with others here either. i know I am not.

but what we argue about and how we rationalize it does give insight into how people are thinking about the problem. It is this that worries me. People realize something is wrong, but what are the answers and conclusions they are finding?

It is fine, I love this site and the sharing of information and ideas on the RC boats (and helicopters)!

Dont buy onto that humane treatment/rationalizing crap nor do you purport to tell our military forces to let down their guard on such weak attitude. Wear the uniform. Go out on missions and face the violence. Pull the trigger when needed to save lives.
So I assume we can put you down under the "Favors Genocide" column.

Its way too easy to arm chair complex issues of war. Kill 16 year olds? No problem. You have free speech because of brave men who have fought and fight today providing us with the blanket of freedom.
Spare me the lecture. My grandfathers both served in WWI, my father and step-father served in WWII, my older brother and I both served (Vietnam era) and my younger half-brother served in both the Gulf War and is currently in Iraq. My maternal uncle died in a Kamikaze attack on the USS Ticonderoga in WWII as well. I have a pretty fair idea of what it means to serve this country and the costs of our freedom. But thanks for taking the time to point them out for the group.

When you get right down to it, we're all frustrated with our leadership. Both past and present. We all feel some degree of hopelessness and helplessness. I think all of us are old enough to remember the better times of the past and worry about the future. The division comes down to party lines and the ideologies that each represent. Instead of working together, our leadership has chosen to work against each other for their own benefits and not ours. And through our taxes, we keep rewarding their bad behavior and excesses. Voting and expressing ourselves is our only outlet. Unfortunately, this is a slow and sometimes unrewarding process. Politicians rely on our short memories and media influence to pull the wool over our eyes. We aren't learning from our mistakes and are doomed to repeat them. Just because Washington bickers like children, doesn't mean we should. Let's offer solutions and submit them to these crooks who represent us. We should no longer be complacent and stand up and speak our voice as a united people.
