Get real for a moment. This is a planet ruled by the aggressive use of force. It's been that way since the dawn of man. Your ideology is the pathway to totalitarism. That is why this country, and only this country, created the great experiment that was democracy. Look up the words of Benjamin Franklin when asked at the conclusion of the first Congressional Congress, what they had created. Freedom and liberty are not free young man; many brave men died to preserve your borders, your language, and your culture. And you want to forgo that and fall back into the cesspool of tyranny.

I feel sorry for you and the world your generation will create/inherit. And you won’t be able to blame it on Bush. You will only have yourself to blame.

The budget surplus, no wars and use of torture were the result of some distorted media portrayal?? Are you really serious about that, or that delusional??

By the way... they are about to announce the worst unemployment numbers at 8:30 eastern this morning...
        DANG - wrong again:

January unemployment rate drops to 9.7 percent

OK, let's not forgot something about these numbers... There was a HUGE chunk of people who are NO longer employed, and are also NO longer eligible for unemployment... so they aren't counted.... What are the REAL numbers?

Talk about convenient. Let's talk about how the FIRST trade center bombers were caught, tried, and imprisoned. So, where is Osama Bin Laden these days? Wasn't GW gunna git him dead or alive???

"No wars"??? That's right... They were "UN Police Actions"...

"Budget Surplus" Sure... there was money in the bank... HOW did that happen?? Do you really know??? WHO controled the purse strings at the time?? SURE, it was all the Dems... right???

How many people are no longer eligible for unemployment at this point??? Let me guess... there were an additional .3% dropped from the tally... how perfect...

Let's not even begin to discuss why the market tanked yesterday, and why gold is now down $50+ dollars...

I think it's dillusional to make the statement that GW caused this GLOBAL financial crisis we are in... Yup, he was responsible for Greece, and Europe, and the rest of the developed world living above their means, exporting all their manufacturing, etc....

Get real folks... This is so far beyond any one person...

                  .
Lets see. During Clinton I seem to remember a "FEW" attacks against the US. It wasn't called war, because we didn't fight back. But he did bomb a PILL Factory.

As far as torture goes, if you believe the Bush administration was the only administration that had torture going on during it, I feel for you.

looks to be the lowest rate since august. The rates are not accurate though. They dont take into account the people ineligable for benefits or those who's benefits have expired. Or for that matter those new to the job market who cannot get a job.

A bit more on jobs. Look back to January 2009 when the job numbers were 598,000 jobs lost compared to 20,000 for January 2010. But I suppose that somehow people will say that Obama caused the bad numbers last year too.

And Darin - who is BLOCKING extending unemployment benefits?? Also, so now Clinton is responsible for UN police actions too? OK. And you think that those are the same as Iraq and Afghanistan?

Last night my buddy killed three cockroaches in his apartment. Guess what, this morning there where a dozen more around his sink.

                          Yup...

I misread the initial "breaking news" report, so you guys are right... the rates are better... BUT, it was also known that a large chunk of the unemployed were in the situation that Rumdog details here...

Honestly, left or right... I just wish that SOMEONE would tell us the bloody truth and the whole picture!!

oops, a lil late on the last post! Dont forget though the same is true for every month. So, the nubers changing means something in that perspective.

No worries... I'm fine with the numbers dropping... if that's really what's happening, then I'm happy....

Look... if all this turns around and this current administration saves the world, I'll completely admit that I've been wrong, and will give credit where credit is due...
