My kids are in the public school system. But I live in a town where real-estate taxes are very high, but the benefit is that most of the money flows back into the school system. So the public school system in this town is very good.

No, she was Spanish and a brunet. Which in no bearing on Spanish people. I have three very smart, hard working and honest Spanish girls working for me presently. It reflects totally on the school system which pushes these kids from grade to grade without them ever knowing everything. I happen to know the school system you graduated from and feel bad for anyone having to send their kids there.

My wife got her degree in education with a minor in special education. She tought for several years in middle school and then 1st/2nd grade. When we had our second kid, she retired at 30 and now stays home with them.

We then decided to homeschool. I know, we used to think the only people that home schooled were the tin foil hatters. But in reality..... wait, there is a black helicopter flying around outside.......

It's gone. Actually, we are lucky to live in an area with a large homeschooling group and co-op. so we school at home, on vacation, and during the summer. Everything becomes educational. Working on the house, cooking dinner, and museums are enjoyable because my kids want to learn about the activity, and not just see bright lights flash! They have classes with other kids, social events and field trips. the difference is all the kids have parents who are involved in thier lives and they all REALLY behave.

If you are lucky enough to be in an area with a good school system, public or private, you are sooooo lucky! Support them.

I have to hire people at work and it stinks! Being a plant manager isn't all it cracked up to be.
