    Default CF boat

    I have a newly acquired boat that is carbon fiber. Will the reception be ok in it? The hatch is also CF. I have a futaba 3pv with the r304sb rx that i will be useing.

    Antenna from receiver must be outside of the boat regardless of tx and receiver you use.
    If you use a gps to measure speed, it also needs to be mounted on the outside of the hull.
    CF blocks all reception that I know of.

    keep in mind the antenna should not be shielded by the spray on the back of boat

    Yes, and te antenna should not touch the Carbon. despite of this precaution, you will have less range than with a fiberglass only boat. I see that with a Spektrum Radio.
