Blackjack 29 V3: opinions, thoughts, etc?

Just saw some for sale on fleabay, new graphics, new/faster motor, higher amp ESC. Anyone have one? How does it compare to V1 or V2?

I think V3 means three wa wa wa's per foot instead of two . Whats with the flexshaft coupler?

3-up: Horizon tried to use pixie dust as a coupler and it wouldn't work. This coupler is door #2.

Check connection to your receiver. Should be in channel1. Other than a bad servo you have a bad rx. Does the motor power up correctly?

The esc looks like a sk120 v3 but has a better cooler. Be good if the sk180 v3 had the same style of cooler.

Thanks for the info. It came with a Spektrum S603 servo which they no longer make. All hookups are OK. Replaced the receiver with a Tactic just to check and the servo still malfunctioned. I am assuming it is a bad servo. The motor powered up just fine. Thanks again.

Sometimes they are plugged in backwards.

I bought a Geico from Ebay once that said the esc and RX did not work but, it was plugged in backwards. With servo's sometimes this fries the Rx.

what is the rx you are referin to

If the servo is bad, just get another one, doesn't have to be from Horizon, and it is not that hard to replace on the boat.
If the polarity is reversed, it might damage the rx( receiver). Although I find this to be rare, still, it happens.
