    dasboata props

Recently I had dasboata on here tune a set of props for me and the results have been fantastic on the water. Its one thing to balance a prop, its something completely different to fully tune one with cutting down, de tongueing, adding pitch, etc. Very fast turn around as well.

I had Chris tune a set of x465 props for me, cut down to 60mm detongue and balance and sharpen. Compared to my other props speed went up but temperatures dropped because of tuning. Well worth the money spent and will continue doing business with Chris. Hope this info helps some people out there.

Chris is a great guy to work with. He does quality work at a fair price and his turn around time is by far the fastest in the business. He has become my go-to guy for props.

I've had Chris work up a few props since my last post. Still very impressed with his work, small or large. He even cut down and resurrected a beat up pair of x457s. Well worth the investment.

I have a twin project on the go and i decide to buy a pair from Chris as it is hard to make a good pair of props.
I haven't run them yet but they are well balaced-sharp and thin.

I just got my first professionally done prop from Chris, I have never run a prop done by anybody but me. I have learned and experimented a lot over the course of a few years, but none of mine look nearly this nice when I'm done with them LOL. It was a X452, de-tongued, cupped, and pitched up a bit on the leading edge. I had already done(mangled?) one like this my way, but Chris' looks like it came out of the mold like this, very smooth. I did gain a touch of speed already, but I have a lot of tuning to figure out with this boat. I have to say, for the money I spent, I think I will be spending far less time in front of the belt sander in the future. For the time and patience(or lack of) it takes for me to get a prop half this nice, the extra few bucks was some of the best money I've spent.

Come to think of it, my temps were considerably lower with Chris' prop compared to the one I did as well, I guess I didn't put 2 and 2 together at the time though.

from Kevinpratt823 5/21 Man, I don't know how else to say it, but Dasboata is an awesome guy to deal with, does excellent prop work, at a very reasonable price, and exceptional turnaround time.

I can do my own props to a moderate standard, better if I can muster the patience, but time is money to me(or boat running time) but regardless, no prop I have ever done came out nearly as nice as his, and for me this boat especially deserves nice props.

I asked him to do (2) sets of props for me on Monday. He told me he would have to order one set because it wasn't in stock. I mentioned that I would pay the shipping twice if he could get me the first set by the weekend. It is Thursday, and both sets were in the mailbox! I hustled down to the pond to see what my KBB45 could do with these, as I was looking for a 7s prop that would come a little closer to my 8s results, it was windy and choppy, so not a true test yet.......

The first props were X450/3's DT'd and cut to 447, I got what I expected, I think it was 86mph, about 4-5 mph over the X447's, but I think I could have done better with better conditions.

The second set, well, those ones gave me 97.5 mph and still only drew 166 amps, but I'm not sure I'm quite ready to talk about those yet

Thanks Chris, worth every penny and then some. You'll be hearing from me again soon.
