Kintec makes a heavy duty mounting bracket for it too. The way Kintec's site is I can't put a link up. Also how big of a boat do you think this fin would be good for? I have a 44" Hydro I'm doing and wondering if this fin would work on it too.

On a 44" hydro I'd be looking for something a lot stronger.

For a few dollars more Mike Hughes will make you a killer turn fin made with 7075.

For those of you who have already replaced the stock turn fin with the UL-1 turn fin, I am curious to know to what extend do you have to re-drill the holes to fit the bracket? Can at least one hole be used? I ask because I want to position the bracket at the right spot, may be I am getting ahead of myself since I don't have the boat yet.
              Thanks

The outer existing hole is used and a new upper hole needs to be drilled.

From what I've been told and my interpretation of the rule book...... YES

I'd like to see the measurements for all hydros running in both organizations to see how they are interpreted.

Doby, You've got one in hand, do you think it's legal? I just had Monica give me measurements, I haven't got mine yet.

It apears to measure over 35 inches long. So it would be a Q boat, not a P or P-limited.
I try and avoid paste eaters.
