Not sure either but, AQ winds the 2030 differently now than they first did. I can get better pics but, it's dead obvious they have a LOT less copper in the stator.
Current Pro Boat motors are actually only 50mm. However, if you pull all of them apart, you'll find that the rotors are, or were, the same length. Not sure if AQ has changed theirs since the last time I measured.
Both AQ and Proboat have evolved some since they first came out. Not saying better or worse. Might be just different production runs.
I know the first batch of 2030's I had I was throwing magnets like crazy. Not so much now. Lately it's the lead right at the winding that gives out. I blame the shellac being too low temp but what do I know really. Wild speculation on my part. I used to think it was that extra piece of shrink but it's further inside the motor lately.
I must have bought a few 2030's at the right time as none of mine have had problems....in fact the 2030 I used on my ps295 tunnel used to spend a lot of time underwater and it still performed great
It's really not ready for prime time consumption. It may well be that the bottom doesn't work and has to be redesigned. Be patient guys. I have a hull I've never even posted pictures of for the same reason.
You are right! On the video, it is a gasoline boat! The engine is offered by our Japanese Distributor, the driver on the video is the Hobby Company's owner. He is very interested in this boat, plans to be the sole distributor of the Caudwell boat in Japan!

its a nitro for sure....I'm sure the FE will be out soon.
Hi John,
Correct! We will offer two different version for hobbyists, one is gasoline, the other one is electric. Because some distributors like gasoline. like the drive in the video who is the owner of one Japanese Hobby Company.

Monica, is that an OS outboard? Can you get a video of it going full speed in the corners?
Hello Kris,
You are right! It is an OS gasoline outboard! That OS gasoline outboard was offered by one of our Japanese distributor. He likes gasoline version, so offered some OS gasoline outboards to us to install with the boat.
The official will be taken later.
