    Go home Turnigy!!!

so, my second t120 decided to blow on me today, I was running 3S and drawing way under 120A, it just died. brought it in and changed the caps since they looked puffed.
plugged it in and got nothing, so I plugged in a batt to the RX and the magic smoke came out. I can't complain, the turnigy smoke smells relatively good, or maybe u'm just getting used to it...

I love my 120s. One of the most reliable ESCs I run. Running 4, 5 and 6S in several of them. And Id rather a $50 esc blow than a $200. Id say your still ahead of the game.

Never owned one but from what I've read about those HK SS esc's is that the 200 amps is the absolute maximum it should ever see, not much of a burst rating to them.
Is this the one you burnt out running your hydro in the pool? I remember that thread from a while ago.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Oh my. Good luck w that. I had two, my neighbor had one and another friend had one. Note the use of "had". They are junk. None lasted more than 3 mo. With well under 100a on all of them. Shoulda stuck w the t120 or gone to the 180...

I submerged mine at least 4 times(maybe I should coat it), still running strong, but I think I will go with the t180's from now on, seems like a great esc

t180's are out of stock, who knows how long so, this is the next best thing, I'll get the air version since I have two t120 heat sinks now, hehe

still can't afford it, 100$ for an ESC on an old boat that wasn't built right is too much. the boat won't get an ESC right now, it'll just share one with the rigger, the rigger will get an SS, maybe i'll get two, just in case.

Boater, I got a deal for you. $20.00 I will send you a brand new in package SS200 I got from Fightercat racing. Its still in its packaging. It was the type in kit form that you have to install the heat sink and wrap it. It comes w/ everything you need.

Just opened packing so I could take a pic of all the components. PM me if your interested.
