Neu 2230 cooling jacket?

I am going to build a 10s2p mono powered by a Neu 2230/1Y... I was wondering if you could make the same type of cooling jacket like you offer for the 2215, but to fit the 2230 series... I also have another club member who is going with the same set up and will need a cooling jacket as well.. So you can put me down for 2 off the start!

Hey Tx, today I met up with a machinist that will be cutting me a cooling jacket for my 2230! I am ordering 6061-T6 alum. pipe tonight for the project. I think i will order enough for 5 jackets for now. I hope by this Friday I will have something done.

Can you measure the diameter of your motor at the tips of cooling fins? Also, what is the distance between first and last fin?

I am curious to see what you boys come up with , the ones I have made for myself are a huge pain in the a$$ and take from 8.0 + hours per motor from start to finish . hardly worth while even doing at a resale level

Sorry for the late reply Dave but yes it is Mach3 , what size CNC you have and at what technical level do you machine . Are very experianced or just a novice like me.......

The CNC I have is a TL501 X-17” Y-8” Z-10” if memory recalls. Have been in this line of work for 25+ yrs. Relocated to Pa. a couple years ago getting ready for retirement. Hopefully August next year. Have a small machine shop with 3 lathes, 2 manual mills and a CNC with supporting tooling etc. Thanks for asking.

I used a piece of joiner tube from the local hardware store. Rubber material with 2 tie downs on the end. Add 2 plug ins for the water tubes and put the nut on the back....center section of motor puffs like a balloon, and quite a bit of water flows though. Here's a pic of what I mean. This is on the prototype motor we're working on...same principal though. This is on a finned can motor too. Cost me about $10 in parts. Hope this helps!
